to be super puzzled why my elbow stinks

what on earth...... I am clean. I am always clean. However for the past few days my right elbow (the crook of it) has been omitting a god awful stench. I can't wash it off. It is foul.

It smells like feet and rot and awfulness. There is no broken skin, it just looks like a normal elbow. WTF.

why is this happening? anyone got any ideas? soap isn't doing anything!

I had a fungal infection on my sternum - I thought I was allergic to nickel in my bra underwires. I used athletes foot cream - weirdly the powder wouldn’t work. But it worked quickly and you can just get it from boots.

The right elbow right handed thing is because that's the one you use the most, after a weekend of painting my kitchen I had a fungal thing going on under my right armpit.
Don't listen to anyone suggesting any thing other than fungal creams, TCP won't help, bleach won't help and sodding Sudo cream is shite. Get some daktarin cream asap and start applying it to clean dry skin.

It took me 2 hours to get my DD to sleep tonight, and I very nearly woke her up just now laughing at smellbow

Good luck OP, I'd say if canestan doesn't work I would definitely be going to the gp and making sure I didn't wash it beforehand, so the doc gets the full force smellbow and doesn't think you are just being weird

I'm not having this sudocrem hatred - i put it on everything, and it cures it. And thats that.

This has cheered me up no end

Penaten is much better than sudocream and can heal small cuts and sores almost overnight. No provenance with weird elbows sadly.

Mine are fine by the way. DS used to giggle hysterically at the word elbow, I'd forgotten until reading this thread.

Both me and my sister have had this from over washing and it geting unbalanced flora and getting a fungal infection, neither of us had redness or soreness.
