It's not like you all have not been wondering

OP posts:
SemperIdem · 08/05/2019 16:52

I’m confident he won’t be officially known as Prince Archie.

Emmabryant123 · 08/05/2019 16:52

I was not expecting Archie

formerbabe · 08/05/2019 16:53

I'm quite shocked.

IAmTheChosenOne · 08/05/2019 16:53

Awful

aquashiv · 08/05/2019 16:54

Quite American good for her

bakedbeanzontoast · 08/05/2019 16:54

Short for Archibald?

itscallednickingbentcoppers · 08/05/2019 16:54
Confused
chaoscategorised · 08/05/2019 16:55

Horrendous. I'm a big old royals-lover but that's a shite name.

Partridgeamongstthepigeons · 08/05/2019 16:56

Personally I don't like either name but he is very cute (as are all babies)

outvoid · 08/05/2019 16:56

So tasteless.

AlliKaneErikson · 08/05/2019 16:56

As the mother of a Harrison I’m quite impressed (it’s not a popular name on MN!).

Didntwanttochangemyname · 08/05/2019 16:56

I think it's a lovely name. I'm not that fussed about the royals, but no new baby deserves vitriolic bullshit from anyone.

NoBaggyPants · 08/05/2019 16:56

You are unreasonable for starting yet another thread on it. At least three others started before this one.

DappledThings · 08/05/2019 16:57

I know not everyone subscribes to the doctrine of needing a proper name for the BC but I very much do and I hate that it's a nickname as his official name.

In as much as I care about any stranger's baby's name. Which is quite a lot if I'm feeling judgy!

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 08/05/2019 16:57

Bleurgh.
The money here was on Alfred or Philip.

lunicorn · 08/05/2019 16:57

I'm surprised at Harrison. Is there a reason for it?

poorremus · 08/05/2019 16:58

Good on em

dayswithaY · 08/05/2019 16:59

Naff

mbosnz · 08/05/2019 16:59

Well, the main thing is that the parents like the name. Just as with any other new parents and wee babe. Others are bound to have their opinions, but they really don't matter. Even if you are part of the British royal family.

Both awful and I'd think the regardless of royal status.
Kate and William chose much nicer names.

lapetitesiren · 08/05/2019 17:00
Hmm
stucknoue · 08/05/2019 17:01

Hate shortened names as full names, and surnames as first names, but I'm a traditionalist. Their choice

RattyTat · 08/05/2019 17:01

I don't like the name Archie but it's refreshing that they've chosen to call him a name that they like, and not just chosen from the usual list of 'acceptable' royal names.

anyoldvic · 08/05/2019 17:01

Harrison as in Harry's son? if so it's a bit naff
