To ask what simple things you’ve done today that made you happy.

I know it’s been done before but not for a while, and I love reading everyone’s little pleasures.
Today mine was hanging lots of brightly coloured towels on the line. Loved just looking at them gently blowing in the breeze. Loved the smell when I brushed past them too. Smile

I like this thread. I’ve got 4 cats and one of them comes to my room every morning at dawn to ask for cuddles (yes asks, he sits meowing at me until I call him up on the bed lol)

I’ve also got a toddler so I’m usually up in a flash to go get her and but this morning she slept for a good half hour after I opened my eyes, so my lovely boy got to come and cwtch in bed with me for what felt like aaages, and it was lovely 😊

I got up a bit earlier, opened the bedroom window and curtains, and sat in bed with a cup of tea, enjoying the 10 minutes peace and the sun, birdsong and fresh air coming in, before everyone else woke up and needed my attention. Small and short, but still blissful.

2 loads of washing out, mooched around the shops, but best of all, potted up some lovely flowers and put fresh top soil down.
My pots are going to look glorious this summer 😁

What a wonderful thread, I'm really enjoying it. Today I woke up early and pulled back the curtains on a lovely sunny day. Cycled to work through the park listening to a pod cast. I try very hard to find joy in the little things. It's not always easy to remember, but this thread has encouraged me to feel gratitude as much as possible.

Bought a packet of fruit pastilles and they only had red and black ones in. Felt like I won the lotto! Then ate them all by myself.

Weighed myself and have lost a pound. Threw some breadcrumbs out for the birds and watered the plants while still in my dressing gown. Walked to work or at least to the Metro - listening to a radio play.

All good and only just had lunch.

I gave DS a great big sniff at nursery pick- up, he smells of suncream and it’s probably my favourite smell in the world.
I’ve put baby DD’s curly baby hair in bunches.
I’ve had the back door open and let the warm, sweet-smelling air waft through the house. I’m so pleased the sunshine is back!

Got home from work , couldn't wait to take the tights off that I wore today as my legs are so white and I wasn’t brave enough to go bare legged and am now sitting in the sun. Bliss!

Sat in the sunny garden, with my feet in the paddling pool, as my DDs brought me sand cappuccinos. Heaven.

Got cream for scaly feet at bargain ££
Had a banana smoothie for breakfast

I took a long lunch today as am caught up on work from last week. Firstly I went for a walk to enjoy a special view (sorry no photos), then went to a pub (on my own) and sat in the sun with half a pint and a baguette for half an hour, exchanged pleasantries with someone who walked past that I've not seen for perhaps 9 years, then went to a friend's house for a cup of tea.
