I know it’s been done before but not for a while, and I love reading everyone’s little pleasures.
Today mine was hanging lots of brightly coloured towels on the line. Loved just looking at them gently blowing in the breeze. Loved the smell when I brushed past them too. Smile

I’m an emotional fool I know, but some of these bring a little tear. It’s just the fact that it’s not the big things that bring the most joy.

I love the 2 dogs dancing and singing for their biscuits. Smile

Took my ds to buy a treat when I got home from work.
Had a large glass of red wine and a hot bath.
Now in bed waiting for ds to read to me and then I’ll read to him and then I think I’ll go to sleep too, it’s been a long day!

I've been reading the thread about rich people moaning that they are poor. It's made me realise that you need to be happy with what you've got, rather than always wanting more (we are on the 25% centile for income, so not rich, but definitely not poor either): I needed to develop an attitude of gratitudeSmile weirdly, it's also encouraged me to take ownership of our debt and pay it off, rather than always justify using the credit card. I think I was doing that out of some unproductive feeling of entitlement and resentment that we don't have the same spending power as many of our friends and family.

In relation: I am very close to reaching the first of my weight loss goals and decided that I am the only one who determines whether I will reach it or not: I am in control of this, it's not a battle against an external power that is making it difficult for me.

Seeing DS beaming away after his first successful full day at nursery made me float - he has been poorly on and off for almost two weeks, and we were worried it would be another day where he seemed fine at drop off, only to become worse again during the day. He loves it there and it was wonderful to see him so happy!

Got in late and hangry and discovered a Cook ready meal in the freezer that I bought for an evening when I got in late and hangry, and had forgotten about.

I took the dogs for a long, long walk this morning then trekked to a fitness class this evening. I love closing the rings on my watch to show that I've exercised enough. It's a tiny thing that nobody else shares with me, but going to bed knowing all my rings are closed brings real happiness.

That’s lovely NcBabyBoy, must have been such a relief. I can relate to times like that when my own children were little.

I ate a delicious brownie and went for a run. Both free as one was part of a working lunch, the other a free community group.

sawyersfishbiscuits · 07/05/2019 21:11

I had some lovely little chats with a delightful little boy. He has started to seek me out for little chats and I feel very honoured. He's only three. Little cutie.

wanderings · 07/05/2019 21:11

I played netball, and played centre - my favourite position!

SweetMarmalade · 07/05/2019 21:13

Putting hedgehog food and water out this evening. They visit every evening Smile

SweetMarmalade · 07/05/2019 21:13

Supergrassyknoll · 07/05/2019 21:25

Had a cheeky snooze on the couch at lunch time before going to the gym for the first time in nearly 2 months, home all sweaty, had long shower then read 5 stories to DS and his best friend at nursery school pick up while we we waited for his Mum and sister!

Willyoubuymeahouseofgold · 07/05/2019 21:28

Had 2 ginger nuts and a cup of tea after dinner! Magic 😍😍😍😍😍

TiredSloth · 07/05/2019 21:35

There were only 4 of us at baby group today and we had a lovely long 2 hour chat whilst our dc played together. Made me feel a little less lonely.

Also ate healthily which is a big deal for me.

jcq17 · 07/05/2019 21:38

Made a delicious risotto from scratch tonight :)

NCBabyBoy · 07/05/2019 21:43

@TiredSloth baby groups can be a lifesaver! I still miss the church one I went to! Don't suffer in silence - mat leave is no picnic!

kayakingmum · 07/05/2019 21:45

Had a nice sandwich from local sandwich shop for lunch and ate it in the sunshine on a bench by a pond.

SchrodingersBrexit · 07/05/2019 21:46

Read DD's favourite book with her which makes her properly belly laugh.

Jowak1 · 07/05/2019 21:47

I went to my boxing class and came home to a lovely tea on the table, the kids ready for bed in their pjs and all the jobs ( washing away, dishwasher on and kitchen spotless) done. Oh and a lovely bath with candles waiting for me Smile

gotmychocolateimgood · 07/05/2019 21:47

Cuddles with my friend's baby really cheered me up today. He smiled so much at me Grin

theorchidwhisperer · 07/05/2019 21:48

Cuddled my husband whilst eating a packet of Love Hearts.

Crabbitstick · 07/05/2019 21:48

Got through day without shouting/raising voice at DS(5).
I’m not normally a shouter but very run down just now with baby DS, recent death in family, OH away a lot with work. Has been making me really sad that I’ve become impatient/irritable.
We’ve had a really nice day.

Jowak1 · 07/05/2019 21:49

Sorry just re-read the original Post and realised it said what I had done not had done for me ! Confused

Planetian · 07/05/2019 21:50

Watched my two year old finally master a climbing frame thingy in the park that she’s been grappling with for 6 months! The pride was adorable 😊

jp237 · 07/05/2019 21:50

Taken the first very small steps to get myself back into distance learning.
