To ask what simple things you’ve done today that made you happy.

I know it’s been done before but not for a while, and I love reading everyone’s little pleasures.
Today mine was hanging lots of brightly coloured towels on the line. Loved just looking at them gently blowing in the breeze. Loved the smell when I brushed past them too. Smile

Today for me.... felt a bit blue overall, but good things were nice clean carpets, lovely sunshine, cuddles with my boys on the sofa, appreciating that the boys are always so good out and about (dentist today)(now I’ve said that they’ll be a nightmare soon!)
DH’s bday so takeaway, cake and quality time tonight.

Re-potted a plant in the garden to attract bees.
Sorted out a pile of jeans to get rid of.
Started a pile of stuff for charity shop.

Unusually I've been able to do what makes me happiest as I'm on holiday...been for a walk on a beautiful beach!

discovered lush are doing new smells/different soap so i bought 2 different ones

finally found a pair of bathers to fit, 6th time lucky as i send back 5 pairs within the last week

Nothing. I had a perfectly fine day doing perfectly nice things but felt flat & lifeless & nothing brought any pleasure. I usually find great pleasure in little things & am very grateful for my life & family & home. Been like this for a couple of weeks now & if it’s not a virus it means the depression is coming back Sad

Took 2 well needed naps. Mental overload of late and it really is the only thing that 'fixes' me. A long one this morning after dropping kids off, then work, then a half hour one before pick up. Settled me right down. The week ahead is manic.

Loving reading all these little pleasurable things. Smile Another one for me is, put clean sheets and duvet cover on bed this morning, so looking forward to an early night with a book and a nice cup of tea.

Dh is off today so I sat in the potting shed with him while he potted out his vegetables. Due to disability I find doing things like that very hard now, so it was nice just to sit there. We are growing peas, mangetout, lettuces (several kinds), tomatoes, peppers and potatoes.

Took the day off and took our toddler to a theme park. Watching the delight on her face as the ride she was on went round.
