I know it’s been done before but not for a while, and I love reading everyone’s little pleasures.
Today mine was hanging lots of brightly coloured towels on the line. Loved just looking at them gently blowing in the breeze. Loved the smell when I brushed past them too. Smile

Took 9 month old ds to the park

Cantthinkofausername1990 · 07/05/2019 19:17

Didn't go to work, had to go to the maternity for an unexpected check up this morning. Baby is doing fine and when I got home I slept for two hours this afternoon, it was badly needed!

CherryPavlova · 07/05/2019 19:19

I sent a congratulatory text to my niece who gave birth Inn the early hours to the most perfect little one.

Polkadotdelight · 07/05/2019 19:27

Watched a man stop the traffic so a duck could cross the road with her 7 ducklings, it was an awesome sight then made (and ate) flapjacks after work.

mashpotato10 · 07/05/2019 19:27

I listened to some of my audible book whilst cleaning and it was actually really lovely. Love audible!!!!

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 07/05/2019 19:32

Went for a walk by the sea with my baby and my father

Justheretosee · 07/05/2019 19:34

Went shopping and made a lovely lasagne and coleslaw with plenty of leftovers

Furrydogmum · 07/05/2019 19:34

Finished off the open bottles of prosecco and pinot grigio from yesterday ☺😬

riotlady · 07/05/2019 19:35

Banged on a saucepan with a wooden spoon with my DD

Figmentofmyimagination · 07/05/2019 19:36

I checked on my Brussels sprout seedlings in my new mini ‘raised bed’. I’ve grown them from a packet, only just put them outdoors yesterday. They have two chances of survival (!) but I’ve never grown seeds before and it’s fun.

@summerof68
Thank you Flowers

likablum · 07/05/2019 19:59

Went for a swim after work.

Read Harry Potter to my ds at bedtime.

BitBored · 07/05/2019 20:00

Snuggled in bed telling my DS stories for ages. Since DD was born we don’t get as much one-to-one time as before so it was really lovely.

Onescaredmuma · 07/05/2019 20:03

Took my son to an indoor rainforest his face when the brightly coloured beautiful birds stopped right in front of him. So proud at 18 months he didn't even try to touch them just pointed and exclaimed ohhh with a look of sheer delight that they would let him be that close to them amazing.

nilcarborundum · 07/05/2019 20:05

I managed to get into my chair without any help. I've just had a total knee replacement and my knee just won't bend!

SisyphusHadItEasy · 07/05/2019 20:09

I am a tutor at my university, and just spent the last hour having the most delightful conversation with a student.

I hadn't had an opportunity to talk with her much before, but I am the only one on duty today, so finally had the chance. She has a quite visible disability, and usually has a learning facilitator with her who speaks for her. Today, she came in alone and our chat really brightened my day.

chrismartinsfuturewife · 07/05/2019 20:09

@Rrtjones that made me smile - imagine how your student is feeling tonight :-) I still get moments where I struggle with certain things and then it clicks and I feel on top of the world.

sparklyglitterball · 07/05/2019 20:24

Watched my dc's playing and climbing the trees on the way home from childminders tonight in the sun. Simple fun Smile

woodcutbirds · 07/05/2019 20:31

@Onescaredmuma that sounds amazing. What a cute reaction. Where is the indoor rainforest? Is it in UK?

lotusbell · 07/05/2019 20:32

Bid on something on Ebay my dad really wanted and won. He's reet chuffed.

storynanny · 07/05/2019 20:38

Cup of tea at the beach with my newly retired husband then a visit to see my youngest grandchild and played tea parties on the floor with her for an hour. Came home with a huge smile on my face

MonnieMoo · 07/05/2019 20:44

I fed all my lovely things I’ve planted since we moved in (back in jan, been working on garden ever since) plant food for the first time.

Also saw my almost 2 year old DD make a little friend at the park and loved watching them play together and jabbering nonsense to each other. The best bit was when my DD started stamping her feet and the other little girl copied her, then they progressed into jumping, then copying each other doing all sorts of different things. Considering they couldn’t speak they did a brilliant job of communicating and amusing each other, It was very cute ❤️

Found out that walking around the block eases my Sciatica more than painkillers. Ended up doing three circuits.
