Holiday packing mishaps, what's yours?

Have come away for a little weekend away and completely forgot to pack my pyjamas, have remembered to pack everything else for everyone else. Its bloomin freezing, aibu to nip to a supermarket to buy some more even though I have plenty at home and really don't need another pair?

What important thing have you forgotten to pack when going away?

My 3 week honeymoon = no socks!

Oh and my bikini but I remembered that at the airport so got one from Accessorize

Camping for 5 nights. Remembered everything but the screw in stopper for the airbed. Worst 5 nights sleep of my life.

Not actually forgotten, but we were on a cruise ship leaving Venice; I leaned over the rail, and my clip-on sunglasses fell off and straight into the water!

On the run up to a trip away, urgently needing children’s passports - book day off work, travel to town far far away to get fast track passport, check in, called up to passport desk...no birth certificates. Travel back home far far away, collect birth certificates and then head back again. I did about 9 hours travelling.

The holiday itself was also shit.

Following as we go away soon and dont want to forget anything! The thought of forgetting my make up bag is bringing me out in a cold sweat tbh

Forgot pants on a holiday to France. Had to buy very expensive replacements in the hypermarket. It seems that French ladies have very small undercarriages!

We went camping and forgot the tent poles!!!

When DS was small it was always his coat.

Because you aren’t supposed to strap them in with their coats on in the car seat in the usual stress of packing the car his coat always got forgotten.

We had one year when he was 2 where he ended up with 5 coats as we had a lot of weddings which required weekends away and arrived with no coat and the ex DH and I would fume at each other for the first few hours about who’s fault it was that we needed to buy another f coat 🙈

Just remembered for my honeymoon I didn't have a hair brush, straighteners, makeup and all sorts missing. Why? Had entrusted to my parents to pack those items into my husbands car like suitcase and everything else. Had they? Nope! They had literally just done the suitcase and ignored everything I had left in the room.
So started off married life very unkempt.

2 weeks beach holiday in north Cornwall. Didn't take any towels.
