Today my DH had the snip. I accompanied him to drive him home afterwards While we were in the waiting room I couldn't help but notice that there was only one title of magazine knocking around.

Uncut.

I couldn't stop sniggering and my (already nervous) dh kept giving me "looks" in this super quiet waiting room because I couldn't stifle my giggles. People were staring but I just couldn't stop.

Someone was having a joke putting those in there, right? I have apologised to my dh but I can't stop giggling when I think about it.

In the same OP. My sense of humour goes off when I'm nervous, I can't help it. Luckily my family and friends are all similar.

I lent a biro to someone on my evening course. She apologised after about ten minutes saying she's sorry but has a bad habit of chewing pens so I just said 'that's ok, I use them to scratch my arse'.

Of course I don't, but I really couldn't resist it. She looked but I was inwardly pissing myself. Not a perfect way of creating a good impression when you hardly know someone. [childish]

Hells bells - there are some uptight people on this thread... I read out OP's post to my partner and we both laughed. I'd have found the 'Uncut' magazines in that setting funny too.

'Uncut' magazines being on the table is quite funny, but I agree with a pp that NUTS magazine being on the table would have been funnier.
