To have started hysterically laughing...

Today my DH had the snip. I accompanied him to drive him home afterwards While we were in the waiting room I couldn't help but notice that there was only one title of magazine knocking around.

Uncut.

I couldn't stop sniggering and my (already nervous) dh kept giving me "looks" in this super quiet waiting room because I couldn't stifle my giggles. People were staring but I just couldn't stop.

Someone was having a joke putting those in there, right? I have apologised to my dh but I can't stop giggling when I think about it. Grin

I think lots of people can't see the photos Smile

Beachbodynowayready · 03/05/2019 18:56

Speaking of exh's, once wasn't speaking to him, he got up during the night for the loo and stood on a socket cover.
Oh how I bit the duvet to stiffle the laughter!!

Meandwinealone · 03/05/2019 18:56

I can’t see photos !

PuppyMonkey · 03/05/2019 18:56

What photos?Confused

chimichangasoul · 03/05/2019 18:56

Ohhh!

Though I think they are even more of an anti-climax than before now. Grin

Crying here 😂

Pearofwisdom · 03/05/2019 18:57

@Beachbodynowayready Were they his?!? Had he been paying maintenance?! Did he have a relationship with the kids?! Shock

cushioncovers · 03/05/2019 18:59

It's amusing. And I can imagine if you both had a bit of nerves and it was quiet in the room and laughing out loud would of been frowned upon then it becomes funnier.

At my grandfathers funeral the wreath on the top of the coffin got caught on a tree on its way up to the church entrance and ended up swinging in the tree branch for and some reason I still don't know why but I burst into quiet sniggers and really struggled to hold it back, my father glaring at me soon shut me up. I think it was nerves!

IvanaPee · 03/05/2019 19:00

Oh so the “pictures or it didn’t happen” was supposed to be accompanied by photos of the mags? Got it!

PuppyMonkey · 03/05/2019 19:00

Ok, can see the photos now. Right. Would have been funnier if it had been an old copy of Nuts.

chimichangasoul · 03/05/2019 19:01

@cushioncovers if it gives you any comparison, when we got married I was terrified of crying and ended up getting the giggles during the ceremony. It was SO bad. I couldn't look at my husband without creasing up. BlushConfused

As if you had an actual sock puppet plan with the photos, OP!

IamEarthymama · 03/05/2019 19:01

I would have giggled too!
Don't go for dramatic licence on here, you will be taken completely seriously and reprimanded!

I had a row from my wife this week for laughing at those Autocorrect text fails that do the rounds every now and again.
She asserts they are never funny while I find them hilarious

However, I read and write constantly while she is dyslexic and believes it could easily be her posting inadvertent swearing at the vicar or her great-aunt. So I limit myself to reading them when she's not around.

Now Terry Pratchett, I make her listen when I read out the funny parts, even though I have to explain the characters, give the context and am usually giggling too.

"For better, for worse" is my defence!

sparklefarts · 03/05/2019 19:02

I can see the first pictures OP.

I think the nerves of the situation probably made it funnier than it is , but that said I don't know why so many people were oh-so-desperate to prove that their sense of humour is just obviously far to highbrow for this dddaahhling .

RubberTreePlant · 03/05/2019 19:02

He should know what to expect from you then Grin

Nonononon · 03/05/2019 19:03

Can someone explain what sock puppet means??

SkintAsASkintThing · 03/05/2019 19:04

Oh I can beat that, I was talking to.someone earlier who'd lost 2 family members on the same day. When she was telling me they'd been taken to the funeral home together the words 'make sure you get a discount ' floated into my brain.

Which sent my brain down the path of bogof funerals.

I had to fake a coughing fit and leave whilst offering my condolences before I blurted it out. Confused

That makes sense, TBF. I'm dyspraxic, so I don't find viral videos of people falling over funny Smile

Love a good autocorrect cock up, though.

chimichangasoul · 03/05/2019 19:04

@RubberTreePlant We're a match made in heaven tbh Grin if it's wildly inappropriate we'll both clock it at the same time. GrinGrin

I wasn’t berating the OP. I just couldn’t understand why she was asking herself for photos!

I get now that most of us couldn’t see that she’d posted photos.

As I said, it takes all sorts! I too find autocorrect fails funny! 😬

Ginkythefangedhellpigofdoom · 03/05/2019 19:05

Beachbody what were the results, did he turn out not to be their father?

chimichangasoul · 03/05/2019 19:06

Autocorrect fails always crack me up. I'm also partial to bizarre video game glitch videos.

Nice of you to be laughing whilst he's having his anatomy violated, probably for your benefit. Shows how much respect you have for your DH

Illy603 · 03/05/2019 19:13

Jeez, some of the people posting on here have the humour of a wet piece of cardboard.

For what it’s worth OP, I would have been laughing my ass off at that too.

ScarlettDarling · 03/05/2019 19:15

GreyGardens his anatomy violated?? For the op's benefit?

I'd assumed he was having a surgical procedure which he'd agreed to because he didn't want any more children.
