After the deletion of various threads on here (you know what I'm talking about) Grin

Just wondered what is the most bonkers mumsnet thread you've ever witnessed or came across?

OP posts:
SandAndSea · 27/04/2019 19:28

Just reading the Slithery thread. It's hysterical!

morefoolyou · 27/04/2019 19:33

😂😂

morefoolyou · 27/04/2019 19:34

My favourites were from Phyllis. She was hilarious. I miss her

TovaGoldCoin · 27/04/2019 19:35

The fajita fridays new messiah was a good one.

ScrambledSmegs · 27/04/2019 19:41

HelplessFeeling Yes! The fridge that turned itself into Sabbath mode and wouldn't switch back! Apparently it's a mode you only get with expensive, fancy fridges so all of us with normal slightly crap fridges are safe Grin.

floppybit · 27/04/2019 19:42

Steamed Badger!!!

Karwomannghia · 27/04/2019 19:43

There was a strange one on the property boards this summer where the OP started talking about a property crash and trying to convince everyone it would happen or something but when others started questioning her figures and charts she started to say repeatedly that estate agents should all lose their jobs and become health workers in the NHS. I was actually quite worried about her.

ABoozedMoose · 27/04/2019 19:46

Not a bonkers one but I really liked the one where the OP had been reported as dead.
She just seemed really good humoured about it all

LucyAutumn · 27/04/2019 19:57

Scrambled Yes I don't think my fridge is Jewish Cheap model
I remember the OP in that thread wondering about the denominations of her other kitchen appliances, and whether they engaged in interfaith kitchen community activities. It was hilarious!

GabsAlot · 27/04/2019 19:58

ah dead op yeah was a good sport

Ihatehashtags · 27/04/2019 20:04

I’m clearly not up with the play. I have no idea how to name change.

theconstantinoplegardener · 27/04/2019 20:07

There was one a few months back where the OP was convinced that all the other parents at school were whispering about her, male teachers making kissy noises at her etc. Her posts were very strange and paranoid. I'm not sure how it all ended.

BellMcEnd · 27/04/2019 20:08

Pretty much any post / thread from CatThiefKeith Sad

You can tell it's goimg to be good from the very first response.

cricketmum84 · 27/04/2019 20:12

Aw I missed this one today!

The maddest was the poster who had been on the gin and posted about how everyone was being fooled by dolphins. We all thought they were cute and adorable but they were actually evil murderers.

Oh and yes yes to screaming at the michaelangelo. Still gives me the giggles!

PumpkinLatteMyArse · 27/04/2019 20:13

Aboozenmoose

What! Have you git a link please?

Redcrayons · 27/04/2019 20:22

Just remembered the poster who started a thread wondering how she was going to break it to her DCs they that they couldn't donate blood overseas because of mad cow disease. She had a real thing about it because she'd pop up now and again to post about it.

Ginger1982 · 27/04/2019 20:22

The one with the family on holiday that had to sneak off through the night to another cabin to escape the family next door who wouldn't stop sending their kids over!

The one with the OP who had agreed to take another child to school for a week but it was ongoing, her DH didn't know and then she ended up in hospital with pneumonia.

Recent one where OP was still angry several months later that her Mil had been in the recovery room when she awoke from c section.

BuzzPeakWankBobbly · 27/04/2019 20:28

Ginger1982 The one with the family on holiday that had to sneak off through the night to another cabin to escape the family next door who wouldn't stop sending their kids over

I remember that! Weren't her last posts from the car as they were (literally) fleeing the scene? And then from her new lodgings where the (same?) owner was in on it and promised to keep their location secret despite CF asking repeatedly?

ABoozedMoose · 27/04/2019 20:29

@PumkinLatteMyArse

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/3166936-Apparently-Im-Dead

It descends into quite a lot of silly crushing over her husband but it's just a nicely good natured thread

Ginger1982 · 27/04/2019 20:30

Buzz yes! Hysterical!!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/04/2019 20:32

Pretty much any post / thread from CatThiefKeith

Good God , yes!

I'd forgotten CatThiefKeith - I wonder what happened to him?

alltoomuchrightnow · 27/04/2019 20:33

hahha yes Redcrayons!
She was devastated and didn't know how she'd deliver the news to her offspring.
Helpful responses such as , 'you just tell them'.

PumpkinLatteMyArse · 27/04/2019 20:33
