I don’t know what it is about the man but I find him annoying. I have no problem with either of his parents or the rest of the family but him ... there’s just something about him.

His photography is god awful and he has such a smug face!

AIBU or is he a bit unlikable?

(Disclaimer - light hearted!! I don’t despise the bloke or wish harm on him and yes I might be a bit jealous that he’s loaded and has done fuck all to earn any of it!) 😁

He seems to get a lot of hate on comment sites etc and I don't get it. He looks like a normal young lad to me. Yes he's given opportunities that he would get if he wasn't their son but millions of celebs offspring do it so..
That said I've never seen him interviewed. He may be awful Grin

PlainSpeakingStraightTalking · 24/04/2019 13:17

What is your AIBU?

Celebrity slagging is such an armchair spectator sport.

RasberryRoyale · 24/04/2019 13:18

Yanbu but tbh I don’t find any of the beckhams particularly likeable. Excluding the young kids.

Cbatothinkofaname · 24/04/2019 13:22

I think it’s a bit unfair to judge seeing as the Beckhams have made a business out of selling their family’s life to the media way before any of the kids would have been capable of consenting

Bellasorellaa · 24/04/2019 13:24

hes a typical scruffy rich kid

RuffleCrow · 24/04/2019 13:24

His life must be very weird, although 'normal' to him. He looks self-conscious to me, and maybe a bit guilty about having life just handed to him on a plate.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 24/04/2019 13:27

I'd look smug if my parents were the BeckhamsWink

SleepingSloth · 24/04/2019 13:32

Disclaimer - light hearted!!

Hmm Yeah right.

Unless you read the daily mail, I'm not sure where you are seeing him that much. They seemed obsessed with following him from the moment he turned 16, weird really. I noticed there are now stories about the younger brother who is now 16....lazy journalism, but doing its job I suppose if you have decided you don't like him. 🙄 I hope your thread gets deleted.

DuckWillow · 24/04/2019 13:34

I don’t know much about Brooklyn Beckham but years ago I was a nurse voting a family who had a severely disabled child. The child needed a special bed which cost thousands and which the NHS could bit fund.

An application went in to various charities to see if they could help donate towards the cost. I don’t know how the Beckham’s heard about this but out of the blue the family received a call from someone connected to the family (it may have been David Beckham’s Mum).
She just wanted to know which bed was needed and it was ordered...the only proviso being “no publicity”. Paid for by the Beckham’s for a child totally unconnected to them but for who they wanted to make a difference. I won’t hear a word said against them as a result...and am sure this is far from an isolated case.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 24/04/2019 13:36

How would anyone know whether he’s unlikable or not unless they knew him IRL?

Have a word with yourself.

How old are you? I couldn't give a shiny shit, Brooklyn Beckham is going to have no impact on your life.

Crinkle77 · 24/04/2019 13:38

Don't really have any feelings either way but think it's a bit unfair to slate someone you don't really know anything about.

missbattenburg · 24/04/2019 13:40

the only proviso being “no publicity

Doesn't posting here break that condition?

HomeMadeMadness · 24/04/2019 13:40

I think he's probably the natural results of having a lot of opportunities and attention for no real reason. When I was a teenager I used to write god awful poetry. I bet if I had famous parents and someone had decided to publish a book of them I'd have fancied myself as some kind of Byron and been strutting around looking smug too!

PinkieTuscadero · 24/04/2019 13:41

I feel a bit sorry for him in that his parents enthusiastically made him part of the family brand from the day he was born. So he was going to be famous-ish as an adult no matter. I think all their kids would be better off if they'd had anonymity in childhood.

Bowchicawowow · 24/04/2019 13:42

He looks very troubled to me so I think people should lay off him.

daisychain01 · 24/04/2019 13:43

Let me help you ... Could it be something to do with him having multimillionaire parents and being young, in the prime of life and likely never to be encumbered by mortgage and money worries??

Cocolapew · 24/04/2019 13:44

I agree he seems troubled, lots of public crying.
I feel sorry for him, he seems a bit lost.

ticketsonsalenow · 24/04/2019 13:44

How would anyone know whether he's unlikable or not unless they knew him IRL? I've met him - he's nice. So are the rest of the family.

HiItsClemFandango · 24/04/2019 13:44

@DuckWillow the only proviso being “no publicity"

Which you've just made public Grin

Bowchicawowow · 24/04/2019 13:44

Money and being young doesn’t mean a person is untouched by worries and mental health issues Hmm

Hopeygoflightly · 24/04/2019 13:50

I don't know the kids so can neither like or dislike him. I generally feel sorry for kids who's parents use them as part of their 'brand' rather than choosing to opt for the less flashy privacy route for their kids where they don't talk about them in public, or pose in mags with them, or take them to premieres or whatever. But that's as far as my interest stretches...

AsleepAllDay · 24/04/2019 13:51

He's a young adult, they're all boring and pretentious until they grow up. He's not harming anyone and yes he's silly and richer than anyone's dreams but he seems harmless

stucknoue · 24/04/2019 13:53

He looks like a lad whose in the limelight because of his parents and not particularly comfortable with it. I'm sure he has a good allowance but money isn't everything.
