For things that are agreed as gospel on MN

I'll start: I like dressing my kids in matching outfits and I really enjoy a Butlins holiday

I also don't think Nevaeh is that bad

Formula feeding is safe,it’s nutritious and it can maintain and protect mental health. BF isn’t the be all

NeverTalksToStrangers · 22/04/2019 20:25

Agree dannywallace. If I had no visitors the week after coming home from hospital i would have been Hmm Confused Sad

Miljah · 22/04/2019 20:25

If you have a dick, you're not a woman.

Tattoos will get you judged.

Two parents are predominantly better than one.

Getting pregnant 'accidentally' is rarely an accident.

luckylavender · 22/04/2019 20:25

I don't love ironing but don't feel clothes look good without being pressed.

terftastic1984 · 22/04/2019 20:26

Paedophiles can be loving normal people who are horrified to be what they are.

Very unpopular opinion but I do agree. As long as they are not acting on their desire in any way (abusing children, viewing child abuse, etc) they aren’t really doing anything harmful at all. I honestly wish this was something more people believed as it may encourage paedophiles to seek therapy and prevent them from acting on their desires in the future.

BarbarianMum · 22/04/2019 20:26

If you cant afford contents insurance you cant afford a second child.

Blended families are rarely happy families.

MarshaBradyo · 22/04/2019 20:26

A pixie cut doesn’t look amazing on everyone

HarryElephante · 22/04/2019 20:27

People shouldn't have children, work part time or not at all if that choice has to be funded by tax payers

Agreed. Only rich people should be able to have kids.

BuzzPeakWankBobbly · 22/04/2019 20:27

99.9% of the population don't "switch their phone off" the second they walk in the door at work/every night/whenever they are with another person.

Put it on silent sure. But switching it completely off, no.

(Ditto the whole "I never ever ever ever ever make or receive a call/text/WhatsApp when at work brigade)

formerbabe · 22/04/2019 20:28

I don't think grey hair looks good on women.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 22/04/2019 20:28

A cohabiting man who says hewn waiting for the right moment And prevaricating about setting a date, he doesn’t want to get married. He’s stalling you

LunafortJest · 22/04/2019 20:28

People who reply on threads with 'didn't want to read and run' or 'placemarking' when all they have to do is click on Watch this thread at the top or bottom of the thread. That is what it is there for! Since threads are limited to 1000 posts and often threads max out quickly, just clicking on Watch this thread means you can still track it and not help max out the thread quicker if you don't have anything really to add.

Coco278 · 22/04/2019 20:30

terfftastic1984 perfectly articulated the point I was trying to make.

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 22/04/2019 20:30

You can worry about the rate of immigration into the UK and the consequent population growth in an already crowded country without being a racist dickhead. It can just mean that you love the countryside and hate seeing it being built over.

It does children good to be outdoors without adults hovering nearby.

mamaoffourdc · 22/04/2019 20:30

Private school kids are not all dicks

SciFiScream · 22/04/2019 20:30

Joining the military (or cadet forces) can be the making of young people and send them onto better things, with better prospects, fantastic self esteem and fantastic self-discipline.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 22/04/2019 20:31

Spa day and highlights won’t sort every problem.

RightOnTheEdge · 22/04/2019 20:31

Hodor was a boring character and I felt nothing when he died.

Mummyoftwo91 · 22/04/2019 20:32

Avocado is vile

Herland · 22/04/2019 20:32

No one should be allowed to own dogs.

People should be allocated an annual mileage to prevent excessive car use, likewise people should be allocated a certain amount of air miles. These should be non transferable. Special applications can made in emergencies.

Meat should be rationed.

Not all men who wear women's clothes, make up etc should be described as trans and have rights to female spaces or there is no point in having female spaces.

All teachers should be trained in trauma and child development where it impacts on learning and socialising.

Children of different sexes can share bedrooms.

AJPTaylor · 22/04/2019 20:32

It's completely reasonable to expect to inherit from your parents preferably in equal shares with any siblings.
I am mystified when someone is upset at discovering they are being overlooked and are soundly berated as grabby.

NotMyPuppy · 22/04/2019 20:33

rightontheedge

Totally agree! Everyone kept going on about how sad it was when Hodor died and of all the traumatic things that have happened in GOT that one left me cold!

BarbarianMum · 22/04/2019 20:33

It's totally normal to have sex without wanting a pregnancy to result.

Herland · 22/04/2019 20:34

Fruit on or in or near savoury food is the work of the devil.

SachaStark · 22/04/2019 20:34

If you’re one of those people who “don’t like seafood” (what, every single variety provided by the whole ocean?) but will eat a tuna sandwich or battered fish from the chippy, you’re being a fucking child about it. Grow up, and don’t book a holiday in Cornwall if you’re not going to eat our fantastic local seafood.
