Having a baby temporarily but completely ruins your life and turns previously interesting and beautiful women into frumpy, angry, bores who have to fight every day for months to return to a fraction of their pre baby glory days. That mothers will love motherhood, will blossom and glow, or will grow into it over a few months is made up bullshit. Their life will never be their own again and no matter what the payoff of having a baby may be, that fact is undeniably shit.
(Disclaimer - I have had a baby so not just bashing mothers, but it's only now she is 1 do I feel like I'm starting to become ever so slightly less DULL and fat and grey. Hooray!)
