Stayed in York in a very posh hotel for a wedding on Thursday and the hotel room was amazing- 4 poster bed, bath in the room etc but this was on the back of the door.. very bizarre!!

So humour me- what's the weirdest thing you've found in a hotel?

A single brand new shoe full of 2p's. In a wardrobe in Italy.

DramaAlpaca · 22/04/2019 00:19

A mousetrap under a bed. Complete with dead mouse.

It was not a posh hotel Grin

A policeman, going through my case.
It was Eastern Europe about 30 years ago, however.

NewYoiker · 22/04/2019 00:20

@Floosey that's amazing! I didn't take a photo of the room so I found one online..
It was a bit weird to find a hot water bottle on the back of the door because there was no kettle just a Nespresso machine and a teasmaid.. 😂

A pair of knickers...

In the bed! so clearly the bed hadn’t been changed, either.

Envy (not envious)

Easterbunnynearlyhere · 22/04/2019 00:37

Room cleaner here - sex toy last summer!

Bluelonerose · 22/04/2019 00:38

A tub of sudocream in the safe Confused

NewYoiker · 22/04/2019 00:38

@SuperSara that is repulsive!

I once found that the mattress in a hotel in Dorset was upside down so pillow top was next to the slats and the sad springy bottom had been flipped over and then had a sheet put on it. :( reception didn't believe me so I took photos and got a free night.. but we live too far away from
Dorset to make it work 😂

@Easternunnynearlyhere you must have some stories to tell!

ThePerturbedPenguin · 22/04/2019 00:43

FYI (if you mind!), Daily Fail or one of the other tabloids will almost certainly pick up this thread, so careful giving away any identifiable info!

Unfortunately I've never found anything as a guest but when I was a house keeper it was unreal what customers would leave, clothes, jewelry, money, sex toys! One kind gentleman left a great big turd on his bed for us! The staff would lovingly post back whatever the customer had left including the sex toys. I used to love my job but sometimes there would be some disgusting customers to clean up after. A turd on the matress, what appeared to be semen in the sink and over other service , vomit everywhere, used condoms dumped on the table with the kettle on even though we provided nappy bags. It was shocking because it was a naice hotel where well off or business type people used Angry

Half a cooked garlic bread baguette in the bedside drawer.

HopelesslydevotedtoGu · 22/04/2019 01:52

Black hairs all over the bed sheets, in a big chain hotel.

brizzlemint · 22/04/2019 02:04

A pile of vomit by the side of the bed. We went elsewhere and didn't pay.

es546 · 22/04/2019 02:23

A naked couple...

CTRL · 22/04/2019 02:51

Some of these are hilarious 😂

MarinaMarinara · 22/04/2019 03:09

A duck onesie (the sort of thing that would look cute on a toddler but adult sized, big enough to fit a tall broad man). At a mid range hotel in central Manchester that I suspect got quite a lot of stag do bookings.

sashh · 22/04/2019 03:20

A colostomy bag, well I think it was., it looked reusable.

NewYoiker · 22/04/2019 11:16

Pubes in the bath in a Disneyland hotel... we complained and were given a new room so they didn’t have to clean it out Hmm
