Found three grey hairs today.

Then stopped looking!

Wtf do I do?

(Dark hair... thinking blonde highlights?)

I'm 48 and have dyed my hair since I was 14. I really want to grow it out, I get so far and chicken out. I think it looks great in the summer when you've got a bit of colour, but would make me look washed out in the winter.

Started to go grey mid 30s. Now 52 and hair very grey but I dye it ash blonde ‘ nice and easy’ the roots blend really well.

Been dying my hair since 17 just because I liked having different colours but noticed mid 40s that the texture was terrible and it suddenly looked like dyed grey hair. I cut it from long to a bob and grew out the dye. It's an ashy grey and no longer frizzy. I like not having to think about it.

@Hearhere

women with horrible, block colour, home dyed hair (usually black or dark brown) who look so much older because of it

oh thanks a bunch, i dye mine auburn and was quite pleased with it
am just deluding myself, do i look dreadful?

I doubt it. I've been using hair colour for over 20 years now, since I was in my mid thirties. Naturally, I am dark brown and I'd guess around 60%+ grey. I find that the box dyes I use 'take' differently on the grey hairs and create the appearance of highlights. I've had many compliments on my hair colour.

That is very true about the natural highlights created by the grey hairs @Bananas 😇

I'm 46, naturally brunette and have started to go grey in the last year or so. Currently I use henna, which covers the grey, keeps my hair in nice condition and turns it the colour I want it to be anyway. I am a complete lentil-weaver thoughGrin

First grey hair at 16, rapidly becoming a white streak at the front. I dyed until I was 43 and realised I hadn’t seen my natural colour for 20 years. When I allowed a bit of regrowth it turned out to be silver/white, I stopped dyeing and have been au naturel for over 20 years.
