What do you call the thing you use to change TV channels?

I've just watched Tenable and the thing I thought it was called didn't make the top ten of names.

I'm honestly, genuinely shocked. I thought it was really common and would be the most obvious answer.

I've heard it called the dibber too in other households.

Apart from the remote its the dipper dopper obvs.

Dh calls it the hoofer doofer. When ds was small and obsessed by Thomas the Tank Engine he called it the remote controllER (as in the fat controller)

Not to be confused with the zapper which opens the garage door.

We generally call it the remote and surprised that's not too spot.
My dh sometimes calls it 'the telly channel changer overer'
