...to not like Summer?

Just that really. I feel fat so the thought of having to ditch the oversized jumpers and boots makes me shudder. It's too bright, I've permanently got my sunnies on and everyone makes me feel like I should be "loving it"!!! I'm more of a cosy, candles and fairy lights type person and I literally feel down when the clocks change for Summer time!

My favourite time of year is Halloween as it's the run up to Christmas which I just love! Dark nights and cosy fires!!!!!

Help me enjoy the summer months - maybe I should just lose some weight??

I've found my people, I love when it gets to September and it's all over.

It’s nice to know I’m not alone, I hate summer so much, I’ve put on weight and hate how I look (more so in summer clothes), and because I’ve gained weight I sweat more (also perimenopausal), love the colder weather, if I ever came into a lot of money I would move to cooler climes

I love summer, so YABU.

Having said that many people who hate summer live in towns/cities with no open space, work in stuffy offices, have a hot commute, wear the wrong clothing, (and I'm only saying this because the OP mentioned it) are overweight.

There are some things you can't change - home, work, commute. The rest you can do something about. I mean, who in their right mind finds skinny jeans comfortable in hot weather?

Today we have enjoyed a lovely warm (not hot) 22 degrees. Short sleeve weather, but not too hot to do some gardening.

I'm disliking it more as I get older.

I'm too fat, which also makes me sweaty, and I can't hide my fat in Summer clothes. I'm pale too. My kids are pale, so constantly panicking about suncream.

I feel pressure to be outside, enjoying the sunshine.

I do quite like the lighter evenings.

Today it's been about 21 degrees here. I find that bearable, but last year was too much with temperatures up to 30 degrees.

My favourite time of year by far is Autumn.

I love crisp clear autumn and winter mornings... Hate summer - there are four gardens with parties going around here with music blasting this evening and our neighbour is out BBQ and drinking and playing shit music under our bedroom window pretty much every night from now till late September which gets me so on edge and unable to sleep (he puts a gazebo up if it's raining).

Plus I hate the feeling of sun cream

I absolutely love summer.
I live in the countryside so it's probably better than the city.
I adore seeing flowers, trees and love the simplicity of not having to later up when going outdoors.
