I don't live there. But I sort of wish I knew whoever does...

Do you think the bedroom with the tigers is for sex and the one with the Virgin Mary is for sleeping?

HaroldsSocalledBluetits · 16/04/2019 23:15

Just don't stand in a doorway or else the knives will come flying at you, dirtypillows.

Thestral · 16/04/2019 23:17

@SandAndSea I do now! 😂

That is some exceptionally busy decor.

Doubletrouble99 · 16/04/2019 23:19

How on earth can the estate agent's describe that kitchen as modern? I was selling these over 30 years ago!
I'm thinking Italian, in their 70s what do you all think?

AllTheFunAndGames · 16/04/2019 23:20

Wow! Shock Words fail me at this moment.

Lwmommy · 16/04/2019 23:20

Where do you even buy that stuff from? And why carpet a kitchen???

LightDrizzle · 16/04/2019 23:23

That is fantastic!
I do think the owners are probably insanely happy and i admire their pursuit of what they like in all its technicolour hideousness.
We almost all start out with a more is more preference and are educated out of it.
So many unexpected joys in that house! The tigers! the Blessed Virgin! The rugs upon rugs!

fleshmarketclose · 16/04/2019 23:24

I imagine that whoever buys it will feel like they have bought an abyss when all the current owner's shite treasured possessions have been removed

LuxLucetInTenebris · 16/04/2019 23:24

I love the garden and the statue of Mary in the bedroom. But that's all!!!

MooBaaLaLaLa · 16/04/2019 23:25

I love the plant camel, I want one!

If you got rid of the hideous wallpaper, rugs, carpets and tat, it's great!

But then my house in minute with no garden at all so I'd kill for anything with room to swing a ceramic tiger.

StoneofDestiny · 16/04/2019 23:36

Wonder what they are moving into.

IHateUncleJamie · 16/04/2019 23:37

Absolutely brilliant. It reminds me of this one: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-77313167.html

The fox shagging the bannister is a personal fave. Grin

zen1 · 16/04/2019 23:39

Why is there a random quadruple-sided mirror in the middle of the living room? In fact, there’s too many mirrors everywhere. The place gives me the creeps.

Dontlickthetrolley · 16/04/2019 23:42

Was just about to post that one @IhateUncleJamie definitely got people talking when it first went up for sale 🤣

LaLaLamp · 16/04/2019 23:43

Inspired by Barbara Cartland? Grin

Glitterblue · 16/04/2019 23:43

It would give me the creeps!

Pieceofpurplesky · 16/04/2019 23:45

Anyone else imagining the people that live there?

MsJaneAusten · 16/04/2019 23:45

I’m clearly going soft, because what stands out to me is that this is a really loved house. It’s clean and tidy (even if not to most of our tastes!) and the owners have obviously worked hard getting it how they want it. I wish I had their confidence in house decoration!

(And no, it’s not my house!)

TheGrapefulDread · 16/04/2019 23:46

Back to picture 9 . The lower mirror has a magnified close cropped crotch shot what’s that about?

LaLaLamp · 16/04/2019 23:47

Is that a diamante skittle in the Mary room?

WattdeEll · 16/04/2019 23:52

So “hand painted” ceilings implies some sort of Sistine chapel type works, yet there is not one photo of any of these special ceilings. The mind boggles as to what is on there!? Maybe there is a big portrait of Jesus in the Mary bedroom, and more tigers on the ceiling of the tiger room?
I’m imagining the owner as a whacky couple who think it is a thing of wonder and would not believe the House Doctor when she said they need to tweak some decor Grin

Lalliella · 16/04/2019 23:54

This was a good one too: www.theguardian.com/uk-news/gallery/2013/nov/18/looking-to-mauve-house?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

Who wouldn’t want a double bed in their dining room?!

IHateUncleJamie · 16/04/2019 23:56

@Dontlickthetrolley 😆😆 It’s sold STC now! Do you think the new owners will keep the peacocks and the fox on top of the washing machine?

IHateUncleJamie · 16/04/2019 23:58

Who wouldn’t want a double bed in their dining room?!

I would LOVE that! Grin
