To ask who are the modern day funny female comedian?

My brother visited today and whilst flicking through my Netflix noticed that I had Joan Rivers on my to watch list. This led to a discussion on the lack of modern high profile/good female comedians about today. He basically said they were few and far between. I could only think of Jo Brand at the time but there must be more?? I was pissed off after he visited and wanted to forward some links of funny females but I can’t find many.....

Kiri Pritchard-McLean is very funny but I think she's not made it onto tv yet. Have heard her on the radio and she was great. The podcast she does with Rachel Fairburn, All Killa No Filla is hilarious, although not for the squeamish.

I like Josie Long, Roisin Conaty and Dianne Morgan.

The last comedian (of either sex) to make me properly cry with laughter was Susan Calman. Brilliant comic.

There's a whole batch of insufferable unfunny female comedians clogging up radio 4 at the moment. I don't know their names because I can't bear to listen to them for more than 10 minutes.
In case anyone feels like saying i'm sexist, most male comedians on r4 are shit as well.

Rebel Wilson - comic actress

I'm really surprised that no-one has mentioned Gina Yashere. I think she's SO funny. She's from Bethnal Green but now lives in the U.S. where she's the British Correspondent on The Daily Show.
