Any advice on where to look for a prom/formal dress for DD that doesn't cost £500 Shock

OP there are a few shops on Kings Road, Chelsea. If you google you might get names, I’m sleep deprived so can’t think of a particular shop at the moment!

OP - not in London (apologies) but may be worth looking at Envy Gowns on Facebook. It’s in Central Scotland although location is irrelevant, rather than suggesting you shop there, it’s more to look at for ideas about styles that your DD may like. If she sees something appealing you should be able to find London stockists on the brand webpages eg Kiss me Kate.
I found the modelling videos very helpful.

Please remember that the shops on Fonthill Road are only open to the public on Saturdays.

To the OP:

You are responding rudely to people here. You complain that people are making you feel frustrated but actually we are all responsible for our own feelings.

Nobody is forcing you to respond to any of their suggestions. If they are not what you are looking for, then simply ignore them and focus on interaction with people who have offered advice you feel is pertinent.

It is not possible to 'waste' someone else's thread. What a bonkers notion.

You don't have to stop the thread 'going off in all sorts of needless directions'. If it goes to 1000 posts then start Round II.

I know you want info on London but some good prom dress shops in Glasgow. Catherine's of Patrick and two more across the road from them. You can buy the dresses there and take them away to be altered at your locality. Hope you find something.

Silhouette clothing in North London. The owner is really helpful and prices very reasonable. She specialises in prom and bat mitzvah outfits.

PP - the OP has said she's autistic. Give her a break on the rudeness.

I am responding bluntly and getting to the point with my observations and my advice.
