Wibu to wear crop tops whilst pregnant?

Opinions on crop tops in themselves are massively divided anyway but some people seem to be very anti pregnant stomachs on show.

I usually wear lots of crop tops in summer, considering the end of this summer I'm going to be very pregnant, I figure I'll be a lot more comfortable in the least amount of clothing possible.

What do you really think of pregnant midriff on show?

I’d be a bit creeped out however that’s my issue and not yours, and thankfully in this country we are free to wear whatever we like.

femidom12 · 04/04/2019 13:37

Cool story bro

Wallsbangers · 04/04/2019 13:37

I wouldn't personally. My belly button looked absolutely mental from about 6 months onwards.

ShesABelter · 04/04/2019 13:38

I don't particularly like it. But you be you and do whatever you like. If it isn't hurting anyone then who cares what anyone else thinks.

Pineapplesandwich · 04/04/2019 13:40

I don't understand why you'd think I'm a troll for asking an opinion on a piece of clothing Confused

I'm 5 months and my belly button is already looking quite funky but I figure that will be the least of my worries if it's as hot as last year!

Op where do you live that you have to wear crop tops all summer

ShirleyPhallus · 04/04/2019 13:42

You registered on MN just to ask this then?

chuttypicks · 04/04/2019 13:42

You'll look ridiculous and people will stare at you. Loose clothes will keep you cooler.

Myheartbelongsto · 04/04/2019 13:43

I think you'll look ridiculous and the majority of people will think you look cheap, common and a that.

We'll all be feeling sorry for the baby also.

ems137 · 04/04/2019 13:44

🤢 I'd be creeped out a bit if I'm totally honest. But then again, I feel as though crop tops should be reserved for the under 20's with flat and toned stomachs

Myheartbelongsto · 04/04/2019 13:44

Twat not that.

HighlyUnlikely · 04/04/2019 13:45

Are All Saints reforming?

user1480880826 · 04/04/2019 13:46

If you’re comfortable wearing it then go for it. You shouldn’t give a damn what anyone else thinks.

Personally I wouldn’t have felt comfortable but that’s probably just because I’m less confident than you (and I probably would have ended up with a sunburnt bump).

Be prepared for lots of odd looks and comments.

howwilliknoww · 04/04/2019 13:46

@Pineapplesandwich don't be a dick head 🤔

NCforthis2019 · 04/04/2019 13:47

Who bloody cares?! Use what you want! Jesus Christ. Confused

BitchQueen90 · 04/04/2019 13:47

Crop tops don't actually keep you that cool. Loose clothing is better for keeping cool.

Obviously it's your decision but I cringe a bit when I see pregnant bellies on show. It looks tacky imo.

Pineapplesandwich · 04/04/2019 13:48

No, I generally just read things on mumsnet and haven't had anything to ask.. didn't realise first time posters were subject to a grilling..

Quite shocked that you'd actually feel sorry for a child because you can see someones stomach Confused

HighlyUnlikely you beat me to it! It’s very early 2000s but it’s your choice.

HopefulAgain10 · 04/04/2019 13:52

Yabu. I really dont want to see your pregnant belly. Honestly you sound attention seeking.

Halloumimuffin · 04/04/2019 13:52

Don't like pregnant bellies. That's my deal and obviously there is nothing actually wrong with them, but to me they are icky and I don't want to look at them.

OoohAyyye · 04/04/2019 13:53

I wouldn't but if you feel comfortable and don't mind a generous amount of strangers staring then go for it.

Bankofenglandfiver · 04/04/2019 13:53

You’ll get people rolling their eyes at your need to show off your fecundity, but if it floats your boat knock yourself out.

DonPablo · 04/04/2019 13:54

Suncream.

SallyWD · 04/04/2019 13:54

I don't like it at all but it's your decision. I think you'd be much more comfortable in a loose cotton top. I was heavily pregnant during a hot summer and wore these sort of tops. I wouldn't have wanted my enormous belly on display.
