To visit the doctors? (TMI warning)

Let me take you through it and you decide if i should go to the doctors.

For what its worth we are trying for a baby and I am not due period till Sunday 14th April (i have period every 7ish weeks).

Sunday night my partner and I had sex, very rough but very good. Immediately after we finished i were sore inside and 2 hours later the pain increased so much i had to take pain killers.

Woke up Monday morning as usual, sore but nothing drastic. Took DD to school and started studying. Then shortly after my stomach started hurting so much I took 2 30/500mg Co-codamol and 1 250mg Naproxen tablet with a hot water bottle. Even so i was doubled over in pain. I started bleeding but only a small amount (I use a menstrual cup). I was topped up on pain medication all day.

Tuesday, I was in so much pain all day, doubled over even after pain killers. And a hot water bottle all day. Around 5:45pm I finally had some reprieve and got a call from work to go in for a couple hours. I agreed and went in. By the time i got there I was in agony again, my boss asked me 4 times if i was ok, then she sent me home less than 2 hours after I got there. I changed cup once in the morning and it only had a little in it. I changed it again at 2:50pm eith about 2tbsp full (just before picking up DD) and didn't change it again till this morning.

This morning there was about 1tbsp full. 17hours. Today I'm in agony again, taken pain killers and got a hot water bottle on as hot as I can stand it. Barely moved today.

This is not normal at all for me, i never have this much pain and the bleeding is very unusual for me. Usually day 1 and 2 get steadily heavier until day 3 where its very heavy then eases off day 4 and barely anything day 5.

If you've got this far please don't suggest A&E as no, Im not going up there.

AIBU to go to the doctors today? I feel like crap and in so much pain.

Are you still in pain ? If you are , print out the info from ectopic charity and take it to the GP . Like a previous poster , I was an hour from serious trouble had they not operated . Hope you’re ok x

SofaSurfer20 · 09/04/2019 12:40

Pain is gone in the centre (womb) area, just a little niggle on my left ovary side x

SpannerH · 09/04/2019 12:47

@Mymomsbetterthanyomom yeah cos every parent tells there kids exactly how, when, where they conceived them or found out they were pregnant. Get.a.grip.

Hope you are ok OP. and get back to that rough sex soon Grin

I'm 33+5 and would love a bit of rough right now haha. God forbid women have fun in the bedroom and even worse, dare speak of it out of the bedroom!

Lovemusic33 · 09/04/2019 12:52

MyMom do classy people not have rough sex? 🤔

OP, good luck, will be waiting to see how you get on with the first response tests.

If it makes you feel any better the weeks before I found out I was pregnant I had the worst pains ever I used to cry we didn’t know what it was it was awful!!!! And then found out I was pregnant and had the same pains so was investigated for eptopic etc and currently 31+5 with a little boy with his foot currently in my ribs ! Hold hope xx

Contraceptionismyfriend · 09/04/2019 13:01

Hope you get answers and a BFP soon Op.

Also I'm 6 months pregnant and still love rough sex. Got to be a bit more careful....not for me. For DH. Turns out the extra weight at the wrong angle can cause some pain. And then me laughing while he was inside me cause serious pain.

All 3 were also conceived after fantastic sessions Wink I don't have any plans to divulge that to them yet.

SofaSurfer20 · 09/04/2019 13:44

Is that test a positive? X

Contraceptionismyfriend · 09/04/2019 13:51

The logical part of me says that it looks like it's held and is invalid.

The other part of me (that has done 23 pregnancy tests over a few days to confirm a pregnancy) says it looks like a positive.

Lovemusic33 · 09/04/2019 13:52

I would say positive. I would be tempted to test again now to make sure.

The bleeding might just have been implantation bleed but still needs checking out if your in pain. I had implantation bleed with my 2nd but not the first, it was like a mini period and had some pain which was later revealed as a cyst.

UCOinSteveArnottsPants · 09/04/2019 13:57

Looks like a pretty decent positive test to me op.

SofaSurfer20 · 09/04/2019 15:39

Oh sweetheart. I'm so sorry.

Absofrigginlootly · 09/04/2019 21:53

Seriously, all these symptoms, the bleeding, the pain, the inconclusive pregnancy tests.... you NEED to have your blood BHCG levels tested and an ultrasound scan to rule out ectopic.

What’s your local early pregnancy unit (EPU) like? Can you self refer? Ie just turn up. Where I used to live you could self refer and had to get there at 7am and fill out a form and wait.

If you show them the photos of the line/no line and explain your symptoms I guarantee they will want to test your blood and do a scan.

Please don’t mess about with this. Ectopics are life threatening

Absofrigginlootly · 09/04/2019 21:56

You also still need intranl injuries ruled out as a cause for the bleeding and an EPU c/would do a speculum exam too.

Good luck OP. Don’t keep letting them fob you off.

TatianaLarina · 09/04/2019 22:03

Listen to Abso ^^

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 10/04/2019 21:55

How are you OP?

JaneEyre07 · 10/04/2019 22:06

It's good that the pain has lessened OP, a niggle sounds a vast improvement.

But I'm still pretty horrified at the lack of care you've had.

Ladybird11 · 10/04/2019 22:53

I really hope you have been back to the hospital.. if not please do..hope you are ok x

Ladybird11 · 13/04/2019 15:45

Keep checking for an update.. hope OP is OK..
