Not to remove my bra at night

Posting here as I know I'll get the traffic.

So Lorraine Kelly is in the news as not removing her bra at bedtime. She's getting some schtick for it. What do you all think?

Should you remove your bra at night? Do you. If you do why? If you don't why?

I don't. I am a 'larger' boosomed lady and to be honest I find it uncomfortable having my baps flapping about in bed!!! Grin. Last time I slept without one was when I cremates my shoulders on holiday in Florida and the pain of putting one on was too much. Confused

So. Thoughts?!!!?

I don't get this rush to remove them when walking in the door - I wear a comfortable (intervention sizing) bra, which I remove to sleep in, and that's it.

A lot of reports suggest wearing a standard bra all the time may be bad for health. Not sure if sleep bras count in this, I have some I got from M & S, the Sloggi ones someone mentioned are also pretty comfy. A lot of places sell them - to the poster who was asking - just Google sleep bras, there are also maternity sleep bras structured so that they don't impede nursing.

Large of nork here. I find it really uncomfortable to let them free. So sleep bra at night and around the house. Underwired when out and about or at work.

I only wear seamless sports bras but I get them in a size that doesn't compress. I wear mine all the time, day and night. They're very comfortable.

I wouldn't be able to sleep without one. I wear an underwire bra day and night. I would wear it in the shower if I could!

I wear a bra to bed! Hate the feeling without one. I am a B cup though.

I’m a H cup and remove my bra as soon as I get home usually, even though my bras are the correct size for me nowadays. I doubt I’d be able to sleep in the bloody thing that’s for sure. I don’t get why LK is getting a hard time for wearing hers bra 24/7 though Confused her boobs, her choice surely?

I’m with you OP. I love my bras and feel uncomfortable if not wearing one

I like to release my beasts. My boobs are huge. It’s one of my favourite parts of the day BiscuitBiscuit

Each to their own! I dont wear one at night, prefer to sleep naked.

I have large breasts. I wear underwired during the day and soft non-underwired at night. I wear Royce Charlotte at night but you can get loads of prettier options these days. Having said that i didn't like padded styles as they made me too sweaty round the boobs while sleeping.

I like that already having a "night" bra on means I don't have to get dressed the second I get up. i.e. sitting here MNing in my PJs but have been up/downstairs/let dog out etc. without discomfort

I think people should do whatever is most comfortable for them.

I have big boobs and don't wear a bra at all at home, sometimes now I even go out without one on, because, well Fuck It.

I do wear them for work though, as I tend to wear tailored suits and the suits were tailored while wearing a bra. I also wear one under my wetsuit because otherwise I find they get squished downwards and it is a bit uncomfortable.

They have their uses.

I can’t imagine taking mine off! Way too much unsupported breast! I fear I would smother a child with them if they snuck in to bed at night!

I profoundly don't care about the condition of (LK) this person-I-never-heard-before's breasts.

Love my bra & wear it every waking minute, but can't sleep in it.

Maybe this story is simply about geriatric porn: nearly 60yo woman admits to having boobs, talks about & fondles them on telly.

Why is she getting stick for it?

I'm an F Cup and have never worn a bra to bed, not even when breastfeeding. I don't whip it off when I get in either though, just take it off when I get ready for bed.

Tbh unless I have to run my breasts don't make me uncomfortable despite not being small. I wear bras because if I don't it's obvious. Would rather not all things being equal - when I was a lot younger and slimmer and hadn't yet breastfed/ been pregnant I often went out without a bra, but they stayed where they're meant to be then!

People should talk about bra poverty not just period poverty - bras for anyone above a D cup are expensive!

This is being done in the Daily Mail today.
Coincidence, eh?
Steve Allen on LBC is regurgitating it.

I wear one at night, admittedly it’s one of those you wouldn’t wear in the day as it’s little support, no wires and you pull it on over the head but at night I find it is enough and I appreciate the extra comfort it gives me. 36E here.

This is a good compromise I think, at home and night time bra.

81byerley - sane here! I'm only a 34e but I definitely think that wearing a night bra is why mine are one of the only parts of my body I'm happy with!!

I'm a gg cup and I love to let the girls free when I get home. Couldn't sleep in a bra.

Wow, I had no idea anyone wore bras at night! I'm breastfeeding and have to wear one to avoid waking up in a puddle of milk, but I can't wait to have free boobs again.

Surely this should have turned into a bra intervention thread by now?

I always wear a bra for bed purely because I hate seeing the effect gravity has on my boobs, when I’m lying in bed feeling all sexy then notice my left tit flat on the mattress like a pancake Sad

G cup here. I only wear bras outside the house or if we have visitors. Can't imagine wearing one in bed!!
