Not to remove my bra at night

PotterHead1985 · 28/03/2019 23:23

Posting here as I know I'll get the traffic.

So Lorraine Kelly is in the news as not removing her bra at bedtime. She's getting some schtick for it. What do you all think?

Should you remove your bra at night? Do you. If you do why? If you don't why?

I don't. I am a 'larger' boosomed lady and to be honest I find it uncomfortable having my baps flapping about in bed!!! Grin. Last time I slept without one was when I cremates my shoulders on holiday in Florida and the pain of putting one on was too much. Confused

So. Thoughts?!!!?

I don’t think you’re supposed to sleep in an underwired bra, but a soft sleep bra is actually recommended.
I don’t, I just let them free at night...

Calloway · 28/03/2019 23:51

I don't wear a bra to bed as I like to be totally naked there, but I'm not the 'whip my bra off as soon as i'm home' sort either. I find my bras to be really comfortable. Walking around without a bra sounds like hell to me.

Barmaid101 · 28/03/2019 23:52

Wear one 24/7 here!

Calloway · 28/03/2019 23:52

I seem to remember reading something years ago about not wearing a bra to bed so as not to hinder lymph drainage. That may well be total hooey though.

Crinklesmile · 28/03/2019 23:54

@BreakfastAtSquiffanys
Honestly, can't bear them exposed to air at all. They are running nowhere 😂

Jenb2104 · 28/03/2019 23:55

I hardly wear a bra when at home. Definitely couldn't sleep in one. Only time I wore one was when preg/feeding as I'd leak otherwise.

blueshoes · 29/03/2019 00:00

I'm only a B cup but I think it stems from hating my nips touching fabric or being cold in any way. I just like them strapped to me at all times

Same here. I am small breasted too. I wear a soft bra at home at all times.

GummyGoddess · 29/03/2019 00:05

I have had day bras and sleeping bras since I was a teenager. I HATE the feeling of not wearing a bra, it hurts my boobs, my shoulders and my back. I also dislike the weird wobbling feeling and feeling them touching my ribs.

I have to either tuck the duvet up through the bra between my boobs or hug a pillow to separate them as I don't like the feel of them touching either.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 29/03/2019 00:07

I'm a 34E and don't wear a bra in bed. The times I have fell asleep accidentally wearing a bra I've woken up with it tightened in so deep and left marks. So it's just for comfort reasons.

LittlePaintBox · 29/03/2019 00:12

I'm an HH cup and I can't relax in a bra - I have trouble forcing myself to put one on when I go out nowadays.

And if I was going to sleep in a bra, I'd definitely have a night-bra - I wouldn't want to keep my daytime bra on.

BigChocFrenzy · 29/03/2019 00:13

I'm an A cup and I prefer free boobing even during the day
They are mostly only tied up when I do sport

callmekitten · 29/03/2019 00:14

I wear a sleeping bra. Another one who likes everything strapped in...
"Fasten your seatbelts; it's going to be a bumpy night." Grin

Tillygetsit · 29/03/2019 00:18

One of the most pleasurable moments of the day is whipping your bra off without removing your top and throwing it at your bloke. Double points for hitting him with it.

lavenderhedgehog · 29/03/2019 00:20

I only take mine off for showers!! Not sure why tbh just a habit

BrightSpells · 29/03/2019 00:20

I'm a very droopy 34B

I wear nice bra let's during the day but it get taken off the second I'm home, along with my pants.

81Byerley · 29/03/2019 00:21

When I was a teenager I read an article about larger breasts, and they recommended wearing a bra night and day. I've done that ever since. Now aged 69, and having breast fed two babies, my breasts (40C) do not droop. Good enough reason to keep the bra on at night!

PotterHead1985 · 29/03/2019 00:22

I have only discovered there is such a thing as 'sleeping bras' thru this whole Lorraine Kelly thing. I shall be investigating this. I used to just use my older not so supportive bras as night bras before.

I had a breast lift at 28 after breastfeed two kids and my boobs when waayyyyy south.
Before kids I was a 30C - post (breastfeeding) kids I had saggy awful 30E boobs
After having my boob lift my surgeon said anyone who’s boobs are droopy enough to that you can put a pencil enough and it stay - should sleep in an non-underwired bra.
Boobs sag naturally but only if you let gravity get to them

HappilyHarridan · 29/03/2019 00:23

Those of you with huge boobs and say you wear comfy crop tops or Lycra wotsits to bed, where do you find them?? I can’t find anything in a large size that would be remotely comfy to sleep in!

BreastSideStory · 29/03/2019 00:24

@PotterHead1985 google post-op bras. Thank me later 🙌🏻
They are heaven to wear in bed

BreastSideStory · 29/03/2019 00:25

@HappilyHarridan honestly look up post augmentation bras. They are so supportive and amazing

BreastSideStory · 29/03/2019 00:26

I’ve 3 glasses of wine... not even sure my previous comments make sense 😂🤪

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 29/03/2019 00:26

Well this has been an eye-opening thread. I'm huge of nork but would never sleep in my underwired bra - maybe I should invest in a soft sleeping bra though.

Smotheroffive · 29/03/2019 00:26

Our and about supportive bra and day wear.

Indoors, bra off and into comfy house wear (which includes soft cotton bandero style top , so boobs comfy and more free yet a little.support)

happymummy12345 · 29/03/2019 00:29

I couldn't imagine sleeping in a bra, taking it off feels amazing. Then again I never sleep wearing anything anyway, I hate sleeping in anything.
