americandream is that you, Tommy ?

I am so utterly put off by remainers and their arrogant attitude, I'd be very reluctant to join those type of people and change my mind

It’s not about being in a club of one side or the other. Christ on a crumpet - are people really this thick?
It’s about carefully and diligently seeking out and understanding the issues and likely outcomes and voting fucking accordingly.

Also - you might not wish to work in any of the European countries but your children or grandchildren might. Course they won’t be able to thanks to so many people swallowing wholesale lies from racist cunts like Farage and Banks big oh well hey? Who gives a fuck because YOU don’t want to go to Europe.
Fuck me. There is no hope.

Dotty1970 · 25/03/2019 23:22

americandream

Agree. If Brexit is cancelled I will never vote again.

There will be a civil war if it's cancelled. The Remainers thought they were 'all that' with their 'protest' last week, and their 5.5 million 'signatures' on that petition. They will know rage and anger if Brexit is cancelled.

Shit will kick off, big time. the like of which has never been seen in peace time.

You mark my words. Brexit being cancelled will result in a fucking shit storm that will make remainers shake in their boots.

🤣

JocelynBell1 · 25/03/2019 23:22

The argument seems be that the Brexiteer scum will riot rather than peacefully march and that they must be heeded.

Peanut1983 · 25/03/2019 23:23

How much money do we give the eu? And how much do they give us? Anyone know?

Can't we make our own rules regarding employment laws and the environment? They seem like easier things to fix.

noblegiraffe · 25/03/2019 23:23

The sort of people who are threatening to riot are also exactly the same sort of people who would say that Britain shouldn’t back down to bullies.

Thus defeating themselves.

MaxNormal · 25/03/2019 23:23

@Peanut1983 but americandream's frankly lunatic frothings are alright by you?
Doesn't put you off the Leave brigade at all?

ShitAtScarbble · 25/03/2019 23:24

Why march peacefully and with intelligence when you can run riot kicking people’s heads in 😂😂😂
But Leavers aren’t gullible half brains are they? 😂

VeryQuaintIrene · 25/03/2019 23:24

Peanut - a moment's googling would lead you to all sorts of very worrying predictions from experts who argue convincingly that Brexit is going to be extremely bad for Britain for a long time to come. Even Rees-Mogg is on record as saying that after Brexit it may take 50 years to get back to where we are now. I don't know how old you are, but that's more than the rest of my lifespan and it doesn't seem worth it to me, or for the impoverished lives my godchildren are likely to live over that time.

PinkieTuscadero · 25/03/2019 23:25

Which employment laws do you think need fixing? And do you think a recession hit Brexit UK will be more protective of employment rights than the EU?

MeredithGrey1 · 25/03/2019 23:25

I'd probably be one of the people that could be convinced to join the remain side... but honestly, the thought of joining them makes me sick. Such know it alls, so incredibly rude. It puts me right off.

If you’re not persuaded that remaining is a good idea then that’s one thing, but this ^ reasoning makes no sense. Changing your mind (if you did), but not following through with it because you didn’t like the attitude of some other people with that view is illogical. If I didn’t vote for things because I thought some of the other people who shared my view were arseholes, I’d never vote for anything - you get arrogant, rude people on both sides of any debate, including this one, and you always will.

AutumnCrow · 25/03/2019 23:25

That is one of the most deranged things you've ever written, Theresa.

Acis · 25/03/2019 23:25

Arts, business and sciences will suffer... can't we fund our own stuff? Can't we make our own stuff? Can't we trade with other non eu countries?

No, we bloody can't. The government have tried to set up trade deals, what they have achieved is pathetic. If we could make everything, why do you imagine we've been importing it? If you think that we can just set up so that we can make enough insulin for the needs of every diabetic in the country starting from Monday, you're in cloud cuckoo land.

We will run out of food... really? I just don't see it!

We don't have nearly as much farmland as we used to, we don't have cheap labour to harvest food, we don't have the requisite manufacturing capability. Prices will rocket up due to scarcity value. So what do you not see, Peanut?

pepinana · 25/03/2019 23:25

Give me hard facts!!! But nobody can or will.

Plenty of the people on this thread have.

If most of the people I know who voted leave never vote again I can't see it'll be much of a lost. They include someone who voted leave "to stop all the Syrian refugees taking benefits" Hmm

Bungalowbeth · 25/03/2019 23:26

A lot of people who voted for Brexit are either already dead or would rather a nice cup of tea rather than protest so I wouldn’t worry too much about civil unrest.

Peanut1983 · 25/03/2019 23:27

Personally I wouldn't March or riot or anything but cancelling Brexit would make me question why we bothered in first place and make me question the point of future votes.

I think I'm in truth one of the millions of people that wishes Dave had never bloody asked the question in the first place! Anyone have a time machine?!

pepinana · 25/03/2019 23:27

Can't we make our own rules regarding employment laws

No thanks, we'd be waving goodbye to maternity rights for one thing.

zenasfuck · 25/03/2019 23:28

@americandream lending weight to my argument for minimum IQ testing before people are allowed to vote

Where do you even start with someone who is literally that ridiculously ignorant ??

LakieLady · 25/03/2019 23:28

And who knows what the debacle has cost us tax payers in this country

I think there was a figure of £4.3bn bandied about, money that has been pissed up against the wall spent on Brexit preparation.

Bananasarenottheonlyfruit · 25/03/2019 23:29

Worrying about a tiny number of violent extreme Brexiteers is not a reason to stop working for the best interests of the majority of the population. The referendum should have been treated as a howl of protest against austerity, and work should have begun to fix it then. This is not the EU's fault. Never has been.

multivac · 25/03/2019 23:29

Agree. If Brexit is cancelled I will never vote again.

I have to say, as threats go, this is pretty soggy. Go on - do your worst!

AnyFucker · 25/03/2019 23:29

The people who voted Leave in my family

  1. are already dead
  2. are racist bigots
  3. are hard of thinking
  4. regret their vote I'll stick with peaceful protests, I think.
Andonandonan · 25/03/2019 23:30

Do as we say otherwise we’ll hurt you.

Because threatening violence to someone for holding an alternative viewpoint is definitely democracy.

Oh. Wait a minute...

Peanut1983 · 25/03/2019 23:30

Who says that we would scrap maternity rights? Let's just focus on that one point. Is that a fact? Has the government said that in the event of leaving that is 100 percent going to happen?
