So at the eleventh hour, JC walks out of Brexit talks

All because of the presence of Chuka Umuna. Would you not think that, for once, he could put the national interest before his own petty party squabbles?

WHAT IS THE ACTUAL POINT OF THIS MAN IN OPPOSITION?

As for TM, she has been the ruin of the nation with her total intransigence.

Fools, the pair of them. Surely it’s time to get rid of both?

Where are the grown ups?

ThereWillBeAdequateFood · 20/03/2019 21:15

They are both utterly unsuited to leadership.

Countries bloody doomed with TM at the helm. JC isn’t any better. Sad

Unescorted · 20/03/2019 21:16

It is bonkers... Student union debates have more nuance and fewer hissy fits.

MrsApplepants · 20/03/2019 21:17

Class of five year olds could do a better job

Galvantula · 20/03/2019 21:18

She's got some cheek saying that the house has indulged itself too long over brexit when she delayed the bloody vote.

everythingisginandroses · 20/03/2019 21:21

The talks were a waste of time, according to the SNP chap I saw on the news. He mainly seemed to want to congratulate himself, the Libs Dems and the Greens for being at the pointless talks, alongside party leaders who aren't, er, party leaders.

Stompythedinosaur · 20/03/2019 21:22

I don't think that the Brexit catastrophe is Corbyn's fault. It is such a bloody mess.

ThereWillBeAdequateFood · 20/03/2019 21:31

I don't think that the Brexit catastrophe is Corbyn's fault

We need a decent opposition though. And the complete failure to oppose can be laid at Corbyn’s feet.

Witchend · 20/03/2019 21:32

Maybe we're all going to wake up soon and find we're actually watching a film called "Carry on in government"...

glueandstick · 20/03/2019 21:36

I have to say... all this taking back our country from the grips of the EU..

Has anyone actually seen the UK govt behaviour?! I feel MUCH safer with the EU adults at the helm.

PerkingFaintly · 20/03/2019 21:37

Maybe we're all going to wake up soon and find we're actually watching a film called "Carry on in government"... Grin

Hattie Jacques as May (but she'd have to dial down the quaking-in-yer-boots effectiveness)
Kenneth Williams as Rees-Mogg (unexpected new side to RM).

Hmm. Who would Syd James play?

Boulshired · 20/03/2019 21:39

This is a time when all the focus is on May and Corbyn should be showing what a better alternative he is. Instead he gives every one a reason to judge him as well. It just more own goals.

birdsdestiny · 20/03/2019 21:40

I think corbyn might be in a bit of trouble with this one, even Owen Jones is saying it was the wrong decision. I try to disagree with everything Owen says on principle so I am very confused.

Belindabelle · 20/03/2019 21:41

Syd James would be Bercow

AFPH123 · 20/03/2019 21:45

May will be remembered as the worst Prime Minister ever. Quite an achievement

CloudPop · 20/03/2019 21:46

David Miliband - come on - your country needs you

GiantKitten · 20/03/2019 21:48

But why was Umunna there?

DangermousesSidekick · 20/03/2019 21:49

Has anyone actually seen the UK govt behaviour?! I feel MUCH safer with the EU adults at the helm.

Oh yes, this. A thousand times.

Samcro · 20/03/2019 21:49

Ffs cameron will always be the one who started this, he will be the one held responsible in years to come.
TM justs. Is the one left carrying his shitty can.

nancy75 · 20/03/2019 21:50

Does Corbyn even want to be PM? His ideas might be nice but when it comes to it he just seems to self sabotage.
The govt at the moment are doing the worst job possible & yet the opposition still couldn’t win a general election against them, the whole thing is a farce.

BarbarianMum · 20/03/2019 21:50

Oh I think that little shitweasel Cameron still wins the "worst prime minister of all time" accolade AFPH

FinnegansWhiskers · 20/03/2019 21:51

We need a decent opposition though. And the complete failure to oppose can be laid at Corbyn’s feet

I agree

nancy75 · 20/03/2019 21:51

Cameron is the worst Prime Minister ever, he set the ball rolling for this shit show them snuck off like a worm when it came to dealing with the outcome of his stupid decision

Seniorschoolmum · 20/03/2019 21:52

Who cares why Umanna was there. JC has the chance that none of us have, to contribute something useful and pragmatic, and show a bit of leadership....

...and instead he stomps off like a toddler in a tizzy.

For God’s sake, what is wrong with them all?

GabrielleNelson · 20/03/2019 21:53

If Corbyn by some unimaginable disaster got elected I think he'd rapidly secure the title of worst PM ever.
