So at the eleventh hour, JC walks out of Brexit talks

All because of the presence of Chuka Umuna. Would you not think that, for once, he could put the national interest before his own petty party squabbles?

WHAT IS THE ACTUAL POINT OF THIS MAN IN OPPOSITION?

As for TM, she has been the ruin of the nation with her total intransigence.

Fools, the pair of them. Surely it’s time to get rid of both?

Nice try, this is all on the tories.

Jsmith99 · 20/03/2019 22:49

Corbyn is a life-long Eurosceptic who fully supports Brexit and whipped his MPs to vote for A50 but desperately wants the Tories to take 100% of the blame for this fiasco, in which he is complicit.

That is not leadership and, as Corbyn proved by his pathetic juvenile flounce today, he is not fit to be PM and he never will be.

puppy23 · 20/03/2019 22:51

Can't stand Corbyn in the slightest, don't get how anyone thinks he'd be a good leader. I'm left wing but I could never vote for him.

Chillxx · 20/03/2019 22:52

🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ just when you thought JC cannot get any worse...

So devastating he is the leader of opposition. Anyone else and labour would be flying in the polls. 🙄

cochineal7 · 20/03/2019 22:53

He should not have walked out but it is a bit disingenuous to call them ‘Brexit talks’. She is not interested in listening to any other options than her own plan. Talks imply seeking consensus, stepping beyond party politics. Not a PR exercise while only aiming to push your failed deal through.

yumyumpoppycat · 20/03/2019 22:59

Keep I signed that petition about 10 minutes ago and it has already gone up by about 20,000 -if you watch the number it is literally moving up in 100s

Fatasfook · 20/03/2019 23:02

The whole country is a fuckin disgrace.

LittlePaintBox · 20/03/2019 23:05

If May is trying to scrape votes together to pass her deal then Umunna represents 11 MPs who can vote for or against her. Therefore he was invited.

Stella Creasy speaks for us all...

Brexit: Stella Creasy slams head on desk
“Stop! Make it stop!” says Labour's Stella Creasy after slamming her head after Conservative Nadhim Zahawi's Brexit comments on Politics Live.

PerkingFaintly · 20/03/2019 23:15

Oh I thought June Whitfield as Leadsom.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 20/03/2019 23:17

So you think JC was going to say ‘Let’s go for a Norway agreement ‘ and TM was going to reply, ‘ Super idea Jeremy. I hadn’t thought of that. Ok, well that’s it sorted. And nice of you to pop in Chukka. Hope the limited company is still receiving dodgy funding. Anyway, anyone for tea and shortbread?’

LimaLemur · 20/03/2019 23:24

yumyumpoppycat fingers crossed the petition signatures will just carry on increasing - I’ve signed and am hoping more people will too.

SarfE4sticated · 20/03/2019 23:31

I'm just refreshing that petition like a demented lab rat hoping for some cheese. Please make Brexit go away! It was always going to be like this, so many people wanting so many different things from it, I don't see how it was ever going to work.

Melroses · 20/03/2019 23:32

I have no idea who Umuna is and why they should be walked out on Confused

But that petition Shock

I need to go to bed, but it just keeps going up...……….and up...……...and ………...

LimaLemur · 20/03/2019 23:32

Ha me too Sarf

Melroses · 20/03/2019 23:33

Oh I thought June Whitfield as Leadsom

Perfect. That is where it is all going wrong. Who is TM?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 20/03/2019 23:34

I'm watching Shetland for light relief. It's a sad state of affairs when even murders in Shetland are more cheerful than the news.

Melroses · 20/03/2019 23:34

Who is TM?

Sorry - just realised - Lee Evans Grin

LimaLemur · 20/03/2019 23:35

William Hague apparently thinks the chances of having a general election are quite high - here’s hoping...! mobile.twitter.com/itvpeston/status/1108507903902863362

Melroses · 20/03/2019 23:37

No - I don't want a GE, there is no one to vote for Sad

SarfE4sticated · 20/03/2019 23:43

I'd have to vote lib dems just for their anti-brexit stance. If they had a coalition with greens I'd be really happy with that.

Labour under new leadership would do, Jess Phillips, or Kier Starmer or David Milliband would be lush!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 20/03/2019 23:43

WTF is a GE going to do?

SarfE4sticated · 20/03/2019 23:45

I'll go to bed when it hits 3000 Lima

LimaLemur · 20/03/2019 23:45

Ooh yes a Lib-Green coalition would be good, Sarf - or Jess Phillips as new Labour leader/PM.

glueandstick · 20/03/2019 23:49

A GE? Spaff more money up the wall. But it’s that or the EU elections which is utterly pointless.

As much as I think she’s an utter failure and disgrace to the country, she needs to see this farce through and the government need to stop behaving like utter bellends and start working together to sort out this bloody mess. I don’t give a shit that they only have to make it through to re-election. How about showing some real leadership skills and work as a cross bench unit (and not as a bunch of units which they currently are) for the benefit of the country they are supposedly serving.
