I don’t want a GE... I have no idea who i’d vote for. No one is electable imo, but I’m really not sure what the alternative is now. Politicians can huff and puff all they like, but it the EU won’t give us an extension unless we vote for the deal, and MPs won’t vote for the deal, then it’s a no deal unless May and her Government is ousted.

Apart from PMQs, he was absent from the chamber all day today, even when Starmer was putting forward his emergency Opposition motion.

He actually asked for a meeting with May in PMQs. 6 hours' later he gets one and flounces because TIG were there, represented by Chuka (and Anna Soubry). There will come a time when he needs those 9 votes.

He himself said it was a national crisis. He's meant to be behaving like a PM in waiting. Some chance.

It doesn't matter who was PM, no one could do any better because its a hung parliament. Just childish to blame JC or TM because this is exactly what the UK voted for in the last general election.

JC acts like a petulant child. I’m not happy with most of the MPs at the moment but do not want a GE because I think Labour isn’t a viable alternative to what we have already. They have become infiltrated by extremists and it scares me that they might end up in power again because of this mess. MPs need to put their petty squabbles aside and work together to sort out this mess. This is a national crisis like we haven’t seen since the world wars and none of them seem to know what they are doing. Total shambles and we will all end up paying the price.

TM knew exactly what she was doing when she invited that self serving twat Chukka to the meeting, and sadly JC fell into her thinly veiled trap. She knew that any unfavourable JC media coverage would be beneficial for her. But I stand by his actions, for so many reasons. TIG have made it very clear they're not a political party, so they have no place at a party leaders meeting. Chukka isn't even their leader, at least not on paper, although it's clear TIG is his vanity project. His devisive, narcissistic little stunt will irrevocably damage the labour party, and when election time comes, will split the vote so that Labour, under whichever leader, will have no chance of winning. They should all stand down as MPs. They were voted in to carry out the Labour manifesto, and it's a huge breach of trust to go back on that now.

I lost my faith in JC a while back, for other, very different reasons. But I'm with him on this.

To be fair to Cameron - he stood for election on a promise of an in/out Referendum. He was voted in with a majority. His mistake was complacency that Remain would win and no planning for any alternative.

The Referendum may have been 'advisory' but surely that was until Parliament all voted to trigger A50 (and all stand on a Brexit promise in the last election). Then it became law (unless Parliament vote to change the law and revoke).

Everyone chickened our of the job of Brexit PM. TM (a remainer) was left holding the bomb and has tried to please/appease everyone and listened to no-one. It was always going to be a disaster.

I really don't see how a General Election will help anything right now.

Re People's Vote, are people really sure Remain would win? Why would this be more binding than the first one? If leave win again then what would that achieve? We still would be at the same place.

Revoke is the only answer now. To leave with or without a deal is proving to be a disaster, any sensible country in the same situation would have revoked by now. Being in the EU isn’t really that bad ffs, compared to the absolute chaos and cost of Brexit.

Missing May did invite the Green(s). Caroline Lucas was there, even tho' she's the only Green MP and no longer the Leader. It was a meeting of the opposition. TIG is an independent group with 9 votes. In a hung Parliament, every vote counts.
