In light of recent attacks in NZ, the increase in knife and gun crime in the UK, shootings in the US and France. What do people think are reasonable options for weapons related laws?

It's clear that none on the current system around the world are perfect.

I am a Brit in the USA, and a gun owner, I also have a concealed carry permit. and I am interested to see what people see as reasonable.

Cars kill children. Cars are lethal weapons too.

Cars have purposes. Their main purpose is a method of transport from A to Z. Killing people, including children, IS NOT one of their purposes. Yes, they have been used to kill people, inc children - accidentally or, dar more rarely, deliberate - but that has never been their primary use.

Guns have few main purposes. Killing living things including people IS one of their main purposes.

The two are not comparable. You need to compare like for like.

If the US government ever decides to round up people to take away their liberty, or whatever it is people think is going to happen, I don't see how being allowed to walk about with a pistol hidden under your jacket will do any good.

I'm happy with our gun laws. I wouldn't want to fear my children going to school every day or accidently missing off someone carrying a gun. Us a rules are insane

Surprise surprise, op is in another thread spouting off about a civil war. I bet she would love that, it would make her gun fetish seem justified.
