AIBU?

To ask for an ambulance?

I don't know what to do really.
Had a bit of leg pain and tingling the last day or so and wasn't concerned at all but I rang 111, because I had a pulmonary embolism a year ago I thought I should be cautious in case it was another blood clot.
111 people got a doctor from the local hospital to ring me back, she said she isn't concerned from what I've said but wants me to come to a&e straight away for bloods and scan.
I honestly feel fine and a little bit embarrassed, what if it's just a sore muscle or something.
But when I got off the phone I then realised I now have £3 in my bank account and about 80p cash, so can't get an Uber or a bus at this time. I'm a student so all my friends and family are in a different city. Should I ring 111 back and ask if they have a way to transport me? I feel well but if a doctor has told me to go to a&e then it's made me worried.

His holiday is the reason he has nothing left and I don't have much because it's been a weed month. Yes I am currently penniless but yes I will be ttc in the next year

Say WHAT!! With every single thread they read?

If the poster looks like a troll/liar/begging for money it's more likely posters will check them out.

If you are in a city then surely at 8.45pm when you first posted there were buses running. You could probably still get a bus.
Alternatively

  • phone your parent's landline and wake them.
  • go slightly overdrawn and pay for a taxi.
  • phone up your boyfriend and see if he has some money he can transfer you - it would be very unusual for a couple who are not married to not have any other money at all than their joint account. Most married couples have mire than just one joint account between them.

However, you seem to have an excuse as to why every sensible suggestion is beyond you, so just go to bed and hope for the best.

Can't afford to get to A&E but want a baby? Really? Hmm

YABVU - ambulances are for serious emergencies where time is of the essence. They are not a method of transport. They are a limited and extremely costly resource.

If you feel you need to go tonight, then text friends, family, neighbours etc and get real life help.

Google 'Wells Score for DVT' - you sound like you will be low risk and its highly unlikely you would been seen quickly nor treated immediately tonight.

Are you going to take any advice you've been given on board?

I'm sorry if it seems like everything's going round in circles, I got the answer that I shouldn't ring back and ask for transport so I wont do that.
Just trying to exhaust all ways of recieving money as you have all suggested which I appreciate

Your DP is on holiday, left you with no money and won't send you any to get to hospital?
Am I missing something?

Can you call his parents for help?

£3 in your account? No one else to ask? Too far to walk? No neighbours you could knock on the door of? Sorry I don't believe you.

When my dc were small I had to go to out of hours LOADS of times with them when they were ill. I drove. An ambulance wouldn’t have been appropriate. What will you do then?

Don't ttc, you can't even afford a pregnancy test.

Good idea from NerrSnerr post to your friends on Facebook

I’d def pay for a taxi for a friend or transfer the cash for someone I know who needed help.

I will be ttc within the next year, and yes I have good reason to believe my situation will change within that time, not that it is relevant
