To ask what Kate Middleton is really like?

Just that really. I know some of you will think ‘who cares?’ but I find her kind of intriguing. Always so well turned out/groomed, very poised, polite...I wonder what her real personality is? How does she manage so much scrutiny?

Kate looks good, has proved fertile (the main part of her job), says the right things (ie, not much) and seems nice enough, if a little Stepford Duchess. She doesn't really show much sign of a personality but maybe that's a deliberate ploy. She might be a hoot in private for all we know!

Well she seems nice and probably the best lass for the job. Plus her family ( the posh ones going back 150-200 years on her dads side) are mentioned in my house deeds.

I’m sure she’s perfectly nice as a person. But I don’t admire her. She’s not had a career or changed the world. She goes to events and smiles and nods a lot.

She’s the daughter of an air stewardess so not sure what makes her so amazing! I’ve worked as a flight attendant so I’m not being snobby!

To be honest... I do not know that much about her... but I always thought she came across very middle aged even at a young age (from what I heard from the press) and to be honest I always wondered if she was a very boring person.

@steelriver this ties in with what I was told by a family member who went to school with her mother. They said Kates mother was very ambitious and shrewd. A social climber. Good for her I say, she certainly climbed 😁

facts are she got married at 29, and she comes from a very wealthy family. She doesn't seem to have done anything at all between university and her wedding. I honestly find it rather unappealing, no one expected her to find a cure for cancer, but to show no interest in anything when you have the financial means to do absolutely anything? Even her sister is a keen sportswoman and at least has accomplished quite a few events for charities.

Queen Letizia, Princess Mary of Denmark, there's a very long list of women who had a life before getting married to a royal.

I think Kate is a good summary of all is wrong with the royal family in 2019, they belong to the past and out of the public eye.

I had heard she has long-term health problems which affect the number of public engagements she can commit to and have led to her and William being extremely interested in promoting health charities.

Aside doing her own make-up on her wedding day, she's not put a foot out of place since announcing their engagement.

How weird, I genuinely thought I’d read it some random feature somewhere. I’m not even sure I remember watching that interview!

No idea what she’s like but I really admire the way she behaves in public, how graceful she is and how much humility she seems to display.

I like that she isn’t a drama queen or and causes no contaversey and she seems to take her role reallu seriously.

When she is abroad she is a fantastic representative for the UK.

Anybody who really knows won't share but I reckon (with my gypsy intuition) that she's secretly charismatic and funny.

Small details like wrapping presents once and somebody told her to keep wrapping and she did a fleeting 'yes ma'am' expression and cracked on with the wrapping.

I admire her for never putting a foot wrong when there was a huge appetite in the media for her (and her family) to expose themselves for the [gasp] middle class wealthy people they really were.

A friend of mine was in a coffee shop near the kids school. All the tables were taken. Kate knew the person my friend was talking to. She politely asked if they minded if she and her friend squeezed on the end. She was charming , friendly , funny with a great sense of humour. Could not have been nicer.
