To ask what Kate Middleton is really like?

Just that really. I know some of you will think ‘who cares?’ but I find her kind of intriguing. Always so well turned out/groomed, very poised, polite...I wonder what her real personality is? How does she manage so much scrutiny?

I met her once, briefly, when she worked at Jigsaw.

She came across as very sweet and earnest. I think she's sacrificed a lot to be where she is now. I really wouldn't want the amount of public scrutiny that she has, and I can't imagine that it's much fun to be honest.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have a secret double life as a successful ladies tag team wrestling duo. As the elder sister Beatrice is something of a leader and decision maker in the ring but Eugenie is the more fearless, also taking part in roller Derby during the off season for wrestling. The sisters are well known for their love of garish colours and unusual hats which they wear in the ring, sometimes recycling outfits from Royal events just to be cheeky.

Whilst they have considered revealing their successful career when they get criticism for not working much, Prince Andrew has advised against this as he feels it may cause embarrassment in Royal circles something he is anxious to avoid. However the whole family love to have a punt on the sisters and have won big several times at Vegas.

Beatrice was very happy when she finally got to meet The Rock recently and he praised her fighting techniques and invited her to appear in his Titan games something she is seriously considering doing.

I have some knowledge of her. Firstly, she is Katherine not Kate. What you see is what she's like.

Wardrobes malfunctions as skirts and dresses not weighted at the hem so a gust of wind blows up her skirt so you can see her pants, this was in the early days though she hasn't had any recently I don't think...Meghan almost had a Sharon Stone moment yesterday though...

I don't have any personal insights, but it strikes me that if she genuinely was a dick, calculating or callously ambitious there would have been plenty of people who came out of the woodwork from her school, uni, (albeit limited) work or socialite days saying that she was- DoS has, unfortunately, had this experience. Instead time and time again you see on these threads people saying "I've met her/know her vaguely/have a friend who went to uni or school with her, she's quiet and unassuming, seems quite nice". I don't seriously think the DoC was at secondary school thinking, "I better keep my nose clean here because I'm going to marry Prince William". Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one.

Kate did not like her Royal status necessitating her to use her formal name Catherine all the time at first, but she was reconciled to it on remembering her heroine Captain Janeway of the USS Voyager is named Kathryn. The character is also played by Katherine 'Kate' Mulgrew who our Kate considers a very fine actress and thinks she was also brilliant in OITNB. Despite liking the strong female characters, Kate found it a little violent for her tastes but William loved it and is still hoping for a new series.

I agree. No one has come out of the woodwork to say she was mean or stuck or bitchy. I think that says a lot about her.

For me, I wish she would be less conventional, more outspoken, just a bit more real. Seems like loads of people ‘love her’ as she is though so I guess she is playing to the majority.

I imagine her good points to be that she’s: emotionally stable, pleasant, diplomatic, motherly, intelligent enough, focused, hard-working, self controlled, William’s soulmate, not a loose cannon.
Weaker points might be: a bit pursed sometimes, could get a bit snippy with William, doesn’t suffer fools, could be frustrated if she witnesses ooor organisation/is held hostage to poor organisation.
But this is all surmise and I’m probably entirely wrong.

I have always adored the DoC/AnyFucker theory, it makes me chuckle often when I read AF’s insightful posts. However I would quite like to think that someone is kicking back in KP right now, in bed, on a tablet/laptop in a small penguin onesie having a cackle with her man at her latest creative offerings.

It doesn't really matter what she's like. What does matter is that she is capable of doing a job - and it is a job - of being the consort of the heir in waiting/ the heir to the throne and the king.

It's a shit job frankly and good luck to her. All the money in the world couldn't compensate for that. She knows that every year until the day she dies she will have to attend trooping of the colour, the rememberance sunday service at the Royal Albert Hall and so on. Every year. Doesn't matter if she has a hangover or just doesn't feel like. That is where she will be.

At least she had the vaguely helpful assistance of having lived in this country, seeing what E II and Charles/anne have to do. Unlike Meghan Mergon who thinks it is a pick and choose celebrity job you can PR spin.
