Ds will finally reliably take a bottle of expressed milk so I went out last night. All good intentions of having only a couple and coming home around 11, well that didn't quite happen.

Before Ds I never got hangovers, I'd be up and fine the next day.
But omg I feel like I'm dying. Dp brought me a cup of tea and nurofen which eased my headache a little bit, but still I feel awful. He says I need food and he'll make me a bacon but I'm not so sure 🤢

And my boobs are killing from not feeding. Why did no one warn me of this 😫

A pint of milk and a banana. Sounds madness but it really, really works.

DH swears by fat coke and a bacon sandwich (white bread only, though).

Queenie8 · 02/03/2019 09:22

We've all been there and done it, so huge sympathy.

My OH swears by a banana and pint of ribena, it does work. I prefer full fat coke and a bacon sandwich on white bread.

dudsville · 02/03/2019 09:22

Rice with broccoli and spinach, soy sauce, salt, pepper and chilli flakes with two runny fried eggs on top. Current favourite breakfast. Good for what ails you!

iwasagirlinavillage · 02/03/2019 09:24

Something salty - marmite on toast - and lots of water.

ColeHawlins · 02/03/2019 09:24

It's the salt/sugar/fat combo that's key.

So salted crisps and coke.

Or cooked breakfast and sweet tea.

Or pasty and fruit juice.

Hope you feel better soon.

maddiemookins16mum · 02/03/2019 09:25

Salted crisps and flat sprite.

pintsizedblondie · 02/03/2019 09:26

Always McDonald's and full fat coke for me.

LuckyAmy1986 · 02/03/2019 09:26

Full fat coke and a banana for me if I can stomach it, if not then toast with marmite or crisps

Sexnotgender · 02/03/2019 09:27

Bananas are good.

Sip something fizzy, I find the sugar helps and settles my stomach.

Drink a tonne of water.

Eat something carby.

Girlinstripedpyjamas · 02/03/2019 09:29

Full sugar coke and bacon crisps

Epwell · 02/03/2019 09:32

kefir. Trust me - sounds very odd but it works like nothing else. You can get it from supermarkets. Or diaralyte. Or full fat coke, then food, preferably carb heavy.

GirlOnIt · 02/03/2019 09:36

I don't think I could even attempt to eat a banana right now and milk definitely not.
Dp is making a bacon sandwich, I'd usually feel like one after a night out so I'm hoping that works.
I feel like I might be better if I'm sick, it's horrible.

Dp had to undress me and take my makeup off! I don't even remember. Didn't drink that much that I'd be like that, must just be because I'm so out of practise having had more than a year off!

Something salty and sugary. My go too is sugary irn bru and some sort of fried snack, bacon roll, chips, doughnuts etc.

Definetly eat something, even just nibble at first of you can't face food, I always feel better after some food, good luck!

cindersrella · 02/03/2019 09:39

I know I shouldn't but ...😂😂

I have done the same but I am in a more plus situation as my youngest is 4 now.. but gosh I remember just wanting to die in bed when it was those early days.

I say a banana, pizza (warmed in microwave from the night before) full fat coke, coffee and carbs carbs carbs.

Sexnotgender · 02/03/2019 09:39

Sounds like it hit you hard!

I know how easy it is after a baby. My little boy is 4 weeks old and I had a single small glass of wine with lunch yesterday and felt the effects! So ridiculous.

cindersrella · 02/03/2019 09:40

You probably won't go as mad next time either, although at the time it's definatley worth it!

LittleCandle · 02/03/2019 09:41

Bacon buttie and an Irn Bru. I don't like Irn Bru personally, but everyone I know swears this is a no-fail cure.

GirlOnIt · 02/03/2019 09:41

I've sent him for some coke too.

I've expressed this morning but does anymore know if I'm ok giving it to Ds or not?
I know alcohol level in breast milk isn't much but if I've drunk a lot is it ok? Was hoping I'd be ok for feeding him by this morning, poor thing was looking at me like 'why you make dad give me this, when you've got those'.

AngeloMysterioso · 02/03/2019 09:43

Dioralyte or any other rehydration salts

Hoopaloop · 02/03/2019 09:44

A pint of Kronenbourg and a bowl of Cookie Crisp.

Sexnotgender · 02/03/2019 09:45

It’s fine. You’d need to be literally passed out on the floor for it to be a problem.

The old pump and dump advice is very outdated.

Hoopaloop · 02/03/2019 09:45

I've sent him for some coke too

Mum of the Year 🙄

GMtoBe · 02/03/2019 09:46

Very spicy bloody Mary. Works every time

GirlOnIt · 02/03/2019 09:48

Of the cola variety @Hoopaloop. Don't think Dp would know where to get the other type, do you think that would work though?
(Joking honestly)

sweetcheeksmahoaney · 02/03/2019 09:48

Hoopaloop

i think she ment coke as in coca cola.
