Ds will finally reliably take a bottle of expressed milk so I went out last night. All good intentions of having only a couple and coming home around 11, well that didn't quite happen.

Before Ds I never got hangovers, I'd be up and fine the next day.
But omg I feel like I'm dying. Dp brought me a cup of tea and nurofen which eased my headache a little bit, but still I feel awful. He says I need food and he'll make me a bacon but I'm not so sure 🤢

And my boobs are killing from not feeding. Why did no one warn me of this 😫

Is that the lipstick melted onto your top? Your dh sounds lovely

GirlOnIt · 02/03/2019 17:54

I think it's a red drink @Girlinstripedpyjamas. Washed it with stain remover though and it's still there Sad

Bit late to the party, but the quickest hangover cure I've ever had was breaking up several yards of concrete on a boiling hot morning. I sweated buckets and must have drunk a gallon of water, so I guess the alcohol was flushed out of my system very quickly.

It's a measure of how drunk I was that I agreed to help my mate break up and skip several yards of concrete ...

Mmmhmmokdear · 02/03/2019 17:57

Bit late now, but sugar always sorts me out. Sugary tea, hot buttered toast, full sugar coke, biscuits (preferably maryland cookies)!

ScatteredMama82 · 02/03/2019 18:01

Ha ha! We've all been there OP. A couple of nurofen before you go to bed when you've had a few usually helps. I also need salt and sugar when I wake up. Your DP sounds fab! :)

Morgan12 · 02/03/2019 18:08

Can we swap husbands please?

IHaveBrilloHair · 02/03/2019 18:12

GirlOnIt
You need vanish carpet cleaning foam, for removing the stain, not the hangover.

GirlOnIt · 02/03/2019 18:13

Ha! I don't know how fab he is. He's been teasing me all day about how 'I never get hangovers' Angry

GirlOnIt · 02/03/2019 18:16

Dp tried washing up liquid that usually works for me and he's been to get some vanish soap to try @IHaveBrilloHair. Will that be similar to the foam?

Wouldn't be bothered but I'd bought a new top for the occasion, so I'm a bit gutted.

I had to read back there to work out why washing up liquid would be a good idea for a hangover!!

IHaveBrilloHair · 02/03/2019 18:22

No, the foam is the best, it shifts everything on clothes, probs because it's for carpets.
It might even shift hangovers but I'm not trying that!

GirlOnIt · 02/03/2019 18:29

Oh yes @Holidayshopping. Don't want people reading getting confused and trying washing up liquid as a hangover cure.
According to my friend it was someone else's very red wine that hit spilled on us, I was thinking I couldn't remember drinking anything very red. Had a cocktail or two but couldn't remember anything red.

I go to sauna, it's a much less effort filled alternative with the same effect!

For future reference OP the best hangover cure is nachos with pico de gallo and sour cream - salt, fat, and something in tomatoes is really good for hangovers, and of course some fizzy pop for the sugar and the bubbles

Brummiegirl15 · 02/03/2019 18:53

Your night sounds epic and I bet even though you feel shocking, it was so so worth it.

Am so jealous. I have a 3 yr old and a constantly boobing bed sharing 16 month old. I would sell my right kidney to go out and get absolutely twatted and have a boogie

GirlOnIt · 02/03/2019 19:38

Sent Dp for the foam @IHaveBrilloHair. So hopefully work for me. It's one of those tops that I just felt really nice in! With a four month old I don't find many of them so really hoping it's saveable or I'm tempted to re but it if not.

You know I really did @Brummiegirl15. Well what I can remember. But I felt like me not a mummy and it was fab. Had a laugh and a dance with my friends got a little chatted up and a few drinks bought, which was nice considering I've spent the best part of the last 4 months in my PJ's with a baby on my boob.

I would 100% recommend taking milk thistle before drinking / bedtime in future

GirlOnIt · 03/03/2019 08:08

Thank you for the recommendation @IHaveBrilloHair. The foam worked Grin

A bacon sandwich, a Bloody Mary, and some good sex.
