No more Bare Minerals!

Does anyone have any inside knowledge of this and AIBU to worry that it’s product safety!?
Just been to pick up more of my trusted Bare Minerals makeup to be told that the entire line has been withdrawn with immediate effect. Tried another shop, told same thing. Bare Minerals counter staff have been dismissed.

I have horrendous skin and used this for 15 years solid as it’s the only makeup not to worsen my acne. What on Earth. First world problem but what the hell is wrong with the product I’ve been inhaling for over a decade and what am I going to use!?

I don't know, I haven't heard anything and I've never used them. But I've bought legitimate make up from eBay before now, when a product I like has been discontinued. I've bought all I can get my hands on. So I suggest you go and have a look at what they've got before other disgruntled product users hoover up what's left.

Regarding the safety aspect, have you googled it??

@Seahorseshoe Nothing is coming up in google, which is bizarre! One of the beauticians I spoke to at the shop said she thinks it’s a specific ingredient that they’ve found fault with, but she could just be speculating...

Just looking and the still seem to have an online store and their Instagram was updated as recently as yesterday.

If there's a problem with one product, surely the counter staff wouldn't have all been dismissed.

What? I bought some a week ago in duty free. I can still buy some oneline just now. And nothing in the news. Given it’s a huge company and part of Shiseido, who announced they were closing a lot of the US stores in 2017

Where did you go?

They haven't reported anything to the regulatory bodies so I'd be surprised, they'd be in for a pretty hefty fine. They haven't publicised anything either. The online shop works, their social media was active yesterday, there's nothing on social media from dismissed workers or anyone else being turned away...

It's been well covered up if something has happened!

What do people love so much about this stuff? I once let a counter assistant make me up with it and it looked awful, really powdery on my skin.

It’s really strange- both shops were selling off all Bare Minerals at discounted price and have now been removed from the ‘stockist’ list on the Bare Minerals website. Still says Debenhams and boots. I presumed the first shop was perhaps misinformed which is why I went to another.

If anyone happens to be passing Debenhams today, please ask for me!

Ive just got back from town, and the Bare Minerals counter in Debenhams was still in full swing as usual 🤷🏻‍♀️
