AIBU to think my friend is stalking me

A bit of an exaggeration but my friend seems to spookily know when I arrive home and always seems to know if i'm out. At first I put it down to co-incidence but now it seems to happen to much for it to be a coincidence

I've checked all my facebook settings but they don't show my location.

Another really weird thing is that a little while ago I had a exchange student lets call him Pete, staying with me who used to walk into town every morning to get to college. My friend said to me once, "Does Pete always wear that checked shirt, hasn't he got any others?" Pete did seem to wear his checked shirt a lot but i'd never even introduced her to him and they hadn't met?????

AIBU to wonder whats going on?

It's bizzare! Almost like she can see my house from where she lives (a few streets away but she can't see my house from there)

She's obviously obsessed with you and has installed a spy cam in your house.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 22/02/2019 19:31

I would have said it was maybe find my friends or something on your phone. Do you have an internet doorbell/baby monitor?

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 22/02/2019 19:33

lol at spy cam. Don't have internet doorbell.

How do I know if i'm available on "find my friends"?

SmallFluffyChicken · 22/02/2019 19:35

TestingTestingWonTooFree - can other people (not in your home) log into baby/home monitors?

HeathRobinson · 22/02/2019 19:36

Snapchat?

HeathRobinson · 22/02/2019 19:36

Although wouldn't explain Pete's shirt.

StealthPolarBear · 22/02/2019 19:37

Did you not ask

ContessaIsOnADietDammit · 22/02/2019 19:37

Try an experiment op - give your phone to your DP or someone when they go out and see if she says anything.

Patroclus · 22/02/2019 19:40

Didnt you ask her when she asked about pete?

Youandwhosearmy · 22/02/2019 19:40

This is weird! I'm dying to know though so you really have to find out and update us Grin

lostfrequencies · 22/02/2019 19:46

Weird.

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 22/02/2019 19:48

I didn't ask her when she asked about "Pete" no. I was a bit stunned to be honest.

Do you unwittingly tell her about your movements? Ie. Your plans for the evening etc.

Do you have a partner she talks to?

Baconislife · 22/02/2019 19:56

Find my iPhone?
Snapchat

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 22/02/2019 19:58

How does Find my iPhone work? Could that be it. I'm not on snapchat.

What do you mean by she knows when you’re out?

WorraLiberty · 22/02/2019 20:07

AIBU to wonder whats going on?

Yes, massively.

This is your friend you're talking about, so why haven't you asked them?

100 or 200 randomers on MN aren't going to be able to give you anything other than different suggestions.

WorraLiberty · 22/02/2019 20:08

And I get you might have been stunned about the Pete thing, so didn't ask your friend at the time, but you said that was a 'little while ago', so you've had plenty of opportunity to say, "Hold on a minute X, how do you know what shirts Pete wore?"

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 22/02/2019 20:09

We've both got iphones yes

SlangBack · 22/02/2019 20:12

Turn location off as well.

bobstersmum · 22/02/2019 20:12

Is she really Pete?
