Saw this today and immediately thought of all the arguments on here over the years about washing towels, bed sheets and the horror of toilet brushes! Grin

I'm definitely more dirty than the cleaners verdicts!

High five to you celticprincess 😀✋✋✋

Lweji · 22/02/2019 18:46

Jesus only had a proper bath in the river Jordan when he was baptised. It's his only bath in the Bible, so don't start talking about his towel habits. If it's not in the Bible it didn't happen.

ChesterGreySideboard · 22/02/2019 18:49

Does John the Baptist have an opinion on towel use I wonder?

Lweji · 22/02/2019 18:58

He'd probably say it's nothing to lose your head over.

reallybadidea · 22/02/2019 18:58

@NoIsACompleteAnswerSometimes

I considered using a hand towel this morning, then looked at my huge fluffy bath sheet and chose that instead. It's what Jesus would have wanted 👼

ChesterGreySideboard · 22/02/2019 18:59

Nice one.

ChesterGreySideboard · 22/02/2019 18:59

‘Nice one’ was to Lweji.

celticprincess · 22/02/2019 19:23

@DeniseRoyal thanks. Thought I’d be bombarded by a load of abuse for my unhygenic habits 😂😂😂.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 22/02/2019 19:32

You mustn’t have been reading the same thread as me if you thought that would happen here celtic. Grin it’s clean towels they don’t like here. It’s almost child abuse.

SchnitzelVonCrum · 22/02/2019 20:18

I was my baby’s towels after every use but not ours, we don't have a drum big enough to do lots at a time. Nor do I have time or the towels. I have been meaning to buy more towels since last summer tho. Actually might go to Homesense on Sun now! I wash towels and bedding at 60 with Ecover.

Lweji · 22/02/2019 20:18

it’s clean towels they don’t like here. It’s almost child abuse.

It's not the clean towels that is child abuse. It's the stamp size towels.

I reckon anyone would only need a small cotton ball to dry themselves. Anything else is just a waste.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 22/02/2019 20:26

It's not the clean towels that is child abuse. It's the stamp size towels.

There are no stamp sized towels. They’re hand towels. Are you seriously saying a hand towel is child abuse? Shock

Lweji · 22/02/2019 20:32

I was referring to previous posts.

Loonymoomoo · 22/02/2019 20:35

I only use a hand towel to dry myself after a bath but kids insist on bath towel. We have family towels that we just grab from the airing cupboard but my girlfriend has specific colour towels for her and a different colour for her son.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 22/02/2019 20:37

So, to clarify, you’re saying a hand towel is or isn’t child abuse Lewji?

Lweji · 22/02/2019 20:41

FGS

ILoveMaxiBondi · 22/02/2019 20:44

Yeah, my thoughts too.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 22/02/2019 20:51

Stamp size towels indeed.

Nearly47 · 22/02/2019 20:55

I wash towels and bedding once a week. 60 degrees wash as recommended by doctors ( Children are allergic to dust mites and 60 degrees kills them)

dementedma · 22/02/2019 21:04

family of five. we share towels and reuse them until they smell fusty.
don't do hot washes, don't have a tumble drier. nobody died yet.Bedding gets changed when I remember to do it.
Have a bog brush.

So far, 4 honours degrees(two first class), two performance level musicians, no ill health, we all have friends so can't smell too bad.

there is more to life than laundry!!

llangennith · 22/02/2019 21:13

Live on my own. Use a bath towel for the week. Wash at 90 with the tea towels, hand towels, hair towels and kitchen towels.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 22/02/2019 21:14

So we’ve had medical diagnosis of mental illness, Jesus, racism, and now we have level of education as proof of preferred frequency of laundering towels being correct Confused

I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Imperfectsusan · 22/02/2019 21:24

I'm still getting over the daily towel wash because they're covered in baby powder. Which is a very dodgy product.

dementedma · 22/02/2019 21:25

not using education as proof of correct laundry techniques, just an proof that it is possible to lead a normal and relatively succesful life without having to obsess about laundry to the detriment of the environment.
A shared re-used towel won't have an adverse effect on anyone's life .

celticprincess · 22/02/2019 21:27

@ILoveMaxiBondi yes I see this thread doesn’t like clean towels but previous threads have favoured the daily washing of them! It’s hard to keep up.

I agree that hand towels are for hands and big towels are for baths and showers. I’m a cold person and like to be wrapped up warm whilst I clean my teeth after my shower. The in between sized towels are hair towels for me as I’ve long long hair.
