To not understand what happens at a strip club?

Not sure if this is allowed at its 'inspired' by another thread Confused

But

Why does a man go to a strip club if there is not touching of the women or themselves? I genuinely don't understand? If you got a private dance nude thing, but didn't masturbate during it or have sex, then what's that all about?

Not condoning exploitation of women in poverty, just curious on what the attraction is???

The women touch themselves in a private dance or rub against your body, the men are not supposed to touch.
My friend stripped during college, she loved it she is naturally an exhibitionist.

“Its a herd like mentality. They get to be "one of the lads". They're usually pissed up. They could be incels who wouldn't normally get to see a naked body. It's a power thing. It's acceptance is ingrained in a patriarchal society. ”

What a load of rubbish. How would you know anything from the perspective of men? You don’t.

As another poster puts it, it is no more complicated for the most part than the fact that straight men like to see naked women. And that is not a bad thing. Nudity is not bad. Adults being sexually interested in other adults is not bad. It is normal, part or human nature. For those who associate sex with shame or it being dirty or whatever that is their issue and not to be applied to others.

People who work in or visit strip clubs are adults with agency. Shaming of men or women who are not affecting you is wrong.

I think a lot of men and women in the UK need to grow up about sexuality and accept it as a legitimate and entirely normal interest among consenting adults.

Whenever I see posts from women who have done stripping/lap dancing etc it always strikes me that these women worked in legitimate places where nothing untoward ever happened. But we all know there are places that exist where "anything goes" almost. Both in the UK and abroad. But I don't think someone who worked in a seedy place would post on here! So I feel we get a bit of a skewed view. I've worked with vulnerable women and have heard some of their experiences in this type of industry and it was very different to the experiences posted on these threads.

“But we all know there are places that exist where "anything goes" almost”

Not in terms of strip clubs there aren’t. You are imagining that.

I think you are thinking of brothels and forced trafficking, an entirely different subject entirely.

Crowdo · 20/02/2019 12:58

I'm strongly bisexual and I've been to a strip club (a friend of mine worked there). Personally, I very much enjoyed looking at the girls. Much the same as I like looking at pictures of naked women. I suppose it's hard to understand if you don't fancy women, but it's just exciting and arousing. Imagine the same, but a club filled with gorgeous men where you could have a good look and a (very overpriced) drink. It's just fun, that's all there is to it.

It was me that said that originally but I 100% agree with everything else you have said.

It's a form of entertainment which appeals to our most natural instincts.

My wife, on hen do's, has been to a male strip show (full nudity type) and also to a Magic Mike show (which apparently is really good). She enjoyed both and it doesn't bother me one iota. Why wouldn't she enjoy looking at incredibly fit, toned, tanned men getting naked? She's still coming home to her slightly overweight pasty husband so all is good in the world :)

The dancers do more than dance for extra money, some are on drugs & get horny &
will do more than dance if a guy is good
looking & they fancy him - for free

What a load of tosh Hmm ok it might happen in a very small minority of clubs but in the majority that’s just nonsense. Most clubs would sack any dancers who did this.

PalmTree101 · 20/02/2019 13:04

Because some men get a thrill out of thinking that these attractive and naked girls actually WANT to do a private dance for them and are actively interested in them. It makes them feel wanted, special.

DpWm · 20/02/2019 13:05

They are depositing into the "wank bank" by going, and seeing real tits and ass rather than behind a screen.

And yes private dances can involve touching but don't always hence the divided views

StreetwiseHercules · 20/02/2019 13:08

“Because some men get a thrill out of thinking that these attractive and naked girls actually WANT to do a private dance for them and are actively interested in them. It makes them feel wanted, special.”

No. Nobody thinks that. You are applying a female perspective and emotionalising something that is just not particularly emotional to men.

StreetwiseHercules · 20/02/2019 13:09

“They are depositing into the "wank bank" by going, and seeing real tits and ass rather than behind a screen.”

That’s more like it.

PBo83 · 20/02/2019 13:14

“Because some men get a thrill out of thinking that these attractive and naked girls actually WANT to do a private dance for them and are actively interested in them. It makes them feel wanted, special.”

Nonsense. They are doing their job, the only think they WANT is to maximise their wages for the night.

I am under no illusion that my clients think "He really WANTS to design that website for me", I'm doing it because you're paying me!

Confusedfornow · 20/02/2019 13:44

In my early 20s I worked in numerous strip clubs, both here in the UK and abroad.

Dont judge! Grin

I danced in some very high end places, and also some absolute shit holes. The men who came into the clubs were mostly there for a laugh. They just wanted to experience the place. I would say most were one time punters, almost always in a group. Guessing one suggested it and the others followed. I don't believe that any of the guys came in for anything sexual, they wern't walking around with a hard on. It was just the weirdness of being surrounded by "mostly" beautiful looking, but mostly naked women.

Some actually negotiated business deals there, some were regulars who just seemed to like the atmosphere.

The guys who paid for private dances were usually just embarrassed and would sort of gaze mindlessly at your tits. Don't know why but "crotch creeps" were rare.

I think the reason most women the clubs objectionable is because (and this may be a little controversial) they can't handle the idea of their partners being in the proximity of another naked woman. I guess if you're a bit out of shape, maybe lacking in confidence, you might feel unable to compete with the dancers and their "perfect" bodies.

People will say it's disrespectful and the guys are pervertsHmm

That is way too simplistic I think. There were a fair share of dickheads, but most of the guys were just looking for a bit of fun.

I think people need to get over the fact that men like to look at naked women. It's just biology. People act like it it's perverted, but then expect their partners to look at them and get hornyHmm obviously men stop wanting to look at other women when they get into a relationship!.

The punters are just normal guys. Not perverts, not molesters. Just out for a drink and a bit of fun.

People need to lighten up. Trafficking and forced prostitution are another thing all together. You will rarely find any such abuse within mainstream clubs.

StripStripHooray · 20/02/2019 13:48

My experience tallies with that of 5pmsomewhere

The dancers do more than dance for extra money, some are on drugs & get horny &
will do more than dance if a guy is good
looking & they fancy him - for free

Strippers don't do anything for free. I wouldn't even sit and (pretend to drink wine) drink with someone, unless they were paying for my time. Dancers on drugs get sacked. Drunk Strippers are dreadful, and, more importantly, don't make any money. They end up being put on drinking bans. Sloppy pissed up Strippers don't do the image of the club any good and are a fucking nightmare.

Don't get me wrong, I've worked in nicer clubs and I've worked in dive clubs, without question, the managers want to stay in operation. They need the license to operate. Strippers who are allowing customers to touch, ones that are happy to give out their number or meet customers after work get sacked very, very quickly became they jeapordise the license and therefore the business. Clubs where there "anything goes" are not strip clubs, they are brothels and will not be operating under the same laws as strip clubs are bound by.

PBo83 · 20/02/2019 13:55

I guess if you're a bit out of shape, maybe lacking in confidence, you might feel unable to compete with the dancers and their "perfect" bodies.

Weirdly, I'm a man and quite the opposite. I'm perfectly happy for my wife to see male strippers and that's partially because I'm getting older and a bit out of shape. In fact, I said this:

My wife, on hen do's, has been to a male strip show (full nudity type) and also to a Magic Mike show (which apparently is really good). She enjoyed both and it doesn't bother me one iota. Why wouldn't she enjoy looking at incredibly fit, toned, tanned men getting naked? She's still coming home to her slightly overweight pasty husband so all is good in the world smile

@Confusedfornow - Never heard the term "Crotch Creep" before...made me laugh! As for the reason for that I have a (male) opinion:

Most men are a bit awkward with the idea of 'paying a woman to dance for them' (but awkwardness that is overruled by the appeal of seeing attractive women naked!). That said, despite many people saying it's about 'power and dominance' most men are actually very respectful of women. Then, when it's one-on-one in a private dance situation, we actually feel bad (even though many women enjoy the job and the money). We therefore tend to glaze over/zone out and start at your breasts because it's considered less 'invasive' than other places.

I hope that makes sense. Like I say, men LOVE looking at attractive naked women but most can't help having their respectful side kick in when it's a one-on-one situation.
