Mine used to have a loud purr in her early kitten-hood, now not so much!

She is called Eva, and she does keep me awake, but I puffs her! You should see her little (not related) sister, she is a bloody nutter!

One of mine has a purr and meows like a cat who’s got a bad throat and lost its voice. He sounds more like a mouse! My other 3 are vocal and loud as fuck , but they’re all wonderful :)

I have a tuxedo girl too. She recently demanded I start buying her Sheba domes and she purrs whilst she’s eating them. Her loudest purr is when I let her slink under the duvet and lay flat out on me getting cheek rubs.

You have to love them, otherwise they will plan your demise when you are sleeping....

Mine purrs fairly loudly but she snores so loudly I can hear it upstairs. Vet checked it out, confirmed nothing was wrong, she's just noisy

My tiny cat had the loudest purr I ever heard. Giant cat has a very faint one. Medium cat had a size appropriate purr.

Oh she is gorgeous, that black nose! My 2 have the quietest purrs so cannot empathise but cats are just ace aren't they!

I had one cat who had a ‘trimphone’ purr. He was a gorgeous boy who I still miss. Now have a ginger snorer and a tortie who moans when she needs food. They both dribble!

I had a hamster with the loudest sniff ever! She was a little darling, but my god how loud her sniffer was, only way i can describe it is the scene in the film dumbo when hes a baby hiding in the hay, and sticks his truck out sniffing peanuts! (She also loved peanuts)
