Not sure what people are struggling to understand there is two saying in there I haven't heard before but can A) clearly tell they are sayings and B) easily work out what they mean.

I have a friend a bit like this. Every time I arrange something I'm doubtful that she will show. However, she has anxiety and depression so I cut her some slack, any chance that there might be an issue like that?
