I am seriously worried. Politics across the West is an utter mess - thanks Putin, nice work - and I can't see that this will help. It will split the left vote and right-wing ideology will continue stomping its way to more power. We are asterisked all ways from hell to breakfast.

Politics is broken. Let’s change it - now that’s a good slogan.

NorfolkNellie · 20/02/2019 17:42

Signed up to support and donated. Fingers crossed.

Filbert7 · 20/02/2019 17:44

I'd love to sign up and donate but those links don't work for me.

Milicentbystander72 · 20/02/2019 17:51

Sorry Filbert I have no idea why they don't work for you Confused

Could you try typing the url into your browser?

Filbert7 · 20/02/2019 18:03

Yeah, I've tried it on three devices but no success.

"Access denied - this website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks"

Am currently in Canada but surprised that would make a difference.

Milicentbystander72 · 20/02/2019 18:11

Yes that's weird. Being in Canada must have something to do with it.

Try bookmarking the page and try when you're back in the UK? Not ideal I know.

dreichuplands · 20/02/2019 18:12

filbert I get the same message and I am in the US. Maybe only UK computers can access it?

Hefzi · 20/02/2019 18:13

Perhaps it's because of all the claims of overseas interference in the Referendum? They may have non-UK Ip addresses blocked so they can deny Soros etc are funding them?

Filbert7 · 20/02/2019 18:15

Great, now even the sensible, centrist website is trying to keep the foreigners out. Grin

Neolara · 20/02/2019 18:15

It was crashing the other night just after tig was talked about on Newsnight. I suspect the website couldn't cope with the traffic. I'd wait a couple of hours and try again.

dreichuplands · 20/02/2019 18:16

I may be in the US but I do have an overseas vote and I would like to be able access party information.

BartonHollow · 20/02/2019 18:23

I went to a browser vetting page before getting in. As if they are anticipating a DOS attack.

birdsdestiny · 20/02/2019 18:34

It took me a while and I am in the UK. I think it's the volume of traffic. I just kept trying and now I am inSmile

Alsohuman · 20/02/2019 18:37

It took me for ever to get on to it. Apparently the volume of traffic is staggering. Which can only be a good thing.

Stopwoofing · 20/02/2019 18:39

Same here - did get on and sign up eventually.

Alsohuman · 20/02/2019 18:41

It seems Derek Hatton has just been suspended from the Labour Party, that didn't last long.

This is the message I got

ShatnersWig · 20/02/2019 18:46

Hilarious, Hatton gone already. A UKIP MEP also tweeted he was going to stand as a Tory against Soubry in her constituency. Within couple of hours Tory Central Office tweeted he couldn't stand as a Tory as they'd denied his application for membership last year! Which a) is funny but b) proves Soubry right in her comments about UKIP already within the Tories or trying to

BartonHollow · 20/02/2019 18:48

Is Hatton really gone?

Hilarious

The Thick Of It couldn't write this stuff

IrmaFayLear · 20/02/2019 18:49

What did he do/say?!

BartonHollow · 20/02/2019 18:50

Anti Semitism by the looks of it

Thymeout · 20/02/2019 18:51

Owen Jones is on a hiding to nothing. The Far Left never forget, never forgive. He wrote an article dissing Corbyn after Copeland and Stoke - and the dire local election results. Now he's shunned. His articles since have been progressively more left wing, more left wing even than Corbyn. He's even flirting with the New Communism. I see him ending up with Novara Media.

I've felt more cheerful about British politics the last couple of days than for years. Especially the 3 Tory women today. The Labour 8 seemed so glum - understandable but not inspiring. But Soubry, Wollaston and Allen were so enthusiastic it really gave me hope.

I've been in the Labour Party since Gaitskell. Always thought of myself as being on the Left but Corbyn & Co aren't real Labour. Far too close to some decidedly un-democratic socialist organisations outside the party. Militant re-born.

IrmaFayLear · 20/02/2019 18:56

Owen Jones is just a rent-a-gob desperate to get on the telly/radio. He'll probably do I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here next.

UtterlyDesperate · 20/02/2019 18:57

Kind of a shame, though, that the Labour MPs pretended it was about anti-Semitism when it's now abundantly clear it's about Brexit, and stopping Brexit. Which is fine, and was obvious from the timing - but disappointing that it was dressed up as being about anti-Semitism. It's now abundantly clear that was included just to make a point and as an aside for Luciana.

I've wondered for several years how she could bear to remain in the Labour Party - this just makes them all look as though they are careerists poised for the Day After, than principled individuals resisting racism.

dreichuplands · 20/02/2019 19:02

Still not understanding why they are being accused of being careerist, this is not a good career move in a first past the post system. It is much more likely to be career suicide.
