Mm, someone's just pointed out that Cohen has blithely agree to hand over the other tapes he made, some of clients other than Trump. And that this would breach attorney-client privilege in the case of the other clients.

Cohen replied (but was cut off) that the other client/s was/were the subject of investigation. Also, one of the things I've learned is that, IIUC, attorney-client privilege does not cover discussion of committing a crime. So while it might be that Cohen is just a lousy lawyer as the questioner suggested, it might also be that Cohen is sure the other client was discussing a crime.

I wonder who the other client was?

New: U.S. negotiators are no longer demanding that North Korea agree to disclose a full accounting of its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs as part of talks this week between Trump and Kim, according to current and ex-senior U.S. officials.

Re: the Cohen hearing - Trumpies over at Breitbart are simply saying “Liar! Liar!” etc. with their fingers in their ears. Even though Cohen has little to gain at this point (although, yes, book deals were brought up and no doubt he will be offered some) - he has already been sentenced. He’s been through the wringer of public opinion. His former boss, who he idolised and did anything and everything for, his disavowed him publicly and in the poorest taste. Cohen isn’t the best of characters, and he worked for an even worse one. That is what conservatives are having trouble with.

Jared Kushner, recipient of nepotism at the highest level, meets with Mohammed bin Salman for the first time since Adnan Khashoggi was murdered. Apparently they didn’t discuss Khashoggi as why would they?

Interesting! I find this difficult to believe, having read the NK rhetoric, Central Committee meeting memorandums and public propaganda pieces for more than two years. I just don’t see it happening. To NK, this is what makes them powerful, especially in their position. They need this bartering card as they have nothing else to barter with.

@realDonaldTrump handling of the negotiations with Kim Yong-un is a lesson in diplomacy. All Americans appreciate how he has moved Korea from an area of possible war to one of some real hope for peace. Meanwhile House Democrats were wallowing with Cohen the serial perjurer.
