Great news! Cillian Murphy is taking over the Guy Garvey 6 Music Sunday afternoon slot for a bit. He's fabulous; good music, lovely voice. Whoop!

I can't bear the traffic guy on Xoe and Ken's show. Richie.

If he says so-and-so's 'bin on' one more time I'm going to combust. And I'm a Brummy.

Loving Sara. Always found Zoe annoying but I was so sick of Chris talking about his kids and celeb friends Zoe is a nice change!

Don't listen to Zoe. Only listen to Ken because of Pop Master quiz. Sara is ok but her calling herself 'saz' is grating on me and the callers trying to get someone to say a phrase is shite.

I really like her although I didn't think I would.

And I love Rylan C-N! A great show to while away an hour until Dance Anthems on R1.

However Ken will always be the best presenter in the radio 😊

Zoe Ball seems to be stuck in the 90s I'm a blokey bird nonsense. I never thought I would like Sarah Cox but she is very good on radio.

I'm also loving Rylan as I just like him - even though the music isn't my thing.

DAB in my car never stays tuned, I usually audiobook or Spotify and have Zoe when I hit the traffic.

I can't stand Rylan.

I've followed Chris to virgin,.I tried really hard to like Zoe but just hated all the ummimg. I tried Sarah as I really like her and loved it when she used to cover Chris, but I'm not liking all of the caller interaction.
I flit between absolute radio and virgin for drive time but neither are brilliant, so if anyone can recommend a show that is like the old Simon mayo show (pre JW) that would be great.

I like both Zoe and Sarah Cox but their shows and their presenting and their personas seem very similar to me. There's not a lot of substance to their shows. I'm getting very very very BORED with Radio 2 and I don't know what to do! R4 is too random for me and I cannot listen to it before Women's Hour.

Zoe Ball, nice person but awful show, absolutely loathe the 'show and tell' load of shite, it was bad enough with Chris Evans putting his kids on, don't the radio 2 bosses realise that no-one cares about anyone else's kids and how well they sing, play the trombone or read poetry?? She calls herself 'the ball' too, like a bloody teenage boy, tries so hard to be cool and is just not, reviews the papers by basically reading out headlines and her voice goes up and down, can't bear to listen now

I wondered if there would be a thread about this. I'm giving up with Zoe Ball. The music is dire and not enough of it and I am sick of this "winning at life" crap. It was bad when Sara Cox did it; it is bad when Zoe Ball does it.Getting up at 5am doesn't make you a better person!

Worse for me is Zoe never time checks, and unlike CE, doesn't seem to have the same thing on at the same time. My alarm goes off at 6.30 and I tend to doze a bit, then suddenly it's the 7 o'clock news and we are late. With CE I knew that after XYZ and before the travel I had to be up.

I love Zoe on Strictly It Takes Two and really wanted to like her on breakfast but it just isn't gelling for me. You can hear her trying so hard to be breezey.

Saying that, I caught a bit this morning that was better- maybe she's just settling in. Or maybe it was her guests - esp Sandi Tsoksvig (sp?).

I'm rooting for her but sneakily popping over to virgin occasionally for a listen! It's a clever play by Murdoch. I've never listened to Virgin before.

Incidentally, the fact that so many people are spelling Sara Cox ‘Sarah’ illustrates one of the more irrational reasons I hate her. She pronounces her name Sarah but spells it Sara. This is a different name, with a different pronunciation. If you can’t even spell/pronounce your own name, what does that say about you?

Loving Sara Cox, can tolerate Zoe Ball as after many years i've left Radio 1 because i really cant stand Greg James.

Liza Tarbuck is hilarious, but the best is Paul O'Grady, he says it like it is, i adore him!

I do love Paul O'Grady and Liza Tarbuck (and Danny Baker on 5 live) but none of them would translate well to 5 shows a week.

Greg James on radio 1 for me. First time back to radio 1 for years, he's just naturally witty. Also they've improved their play list lately. Wouldn't go back to R2 now.

Chris has moira. I couldn’t tell you who is doing the news now. Vassos was good as were all of the travel people.
Zoe’s travel person Richie is pretty bland.

The new traffic and travel guy who pronounces a shed load as one word shedload and Wolverhampton as Wulvrampton.

Please, someone, take him to one side and tell him how to pronounce stuff.

Rylan Clark-Neal is fantastic on Saturday afternoon radio 2 . He plays great music. I'm loving dance floor diaries - people contact him to tell them of their mis-haps on the dance floor. Not unlike Simon Mayo's confessions. Also, what white lies have you told - again not unlike Simon's confessions.

Liza Tarbuck is great on Saturday evening. Paul O'Grady makes my Sunday afternoon.

Sara Cox is good but can she please drop this 21 questions feature at 5.40pm. It's just a, 'who am I' feature played by two listeners that have phoned in each day. It's predictable and boring and no one cares who the famous person is.

Don’t mind Zoe Ball too much, but ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND when the kids ring in and chat, I turn it over immediately. Also not keen on Sara Cox with that stupid strap line she does “if you’re getting your dins on blah blah join us for some lols blah blah” No thank you.

Love Sara, am giving Zoe a chance but not liking the show much yet.

I adore Ken. He’s the last link with TW.

Bizarrely I had this very conversation with my DH this morning.

Not loving it, can't help thinking SC would have been a better fit.

i am finding her inoffensive and randomly amusing in the morning, but I tell you what i am narked about...fucking fearne cotton will be standing in for her on her holidays.

I have hardly had any listening to Sara on Drivetime....somehow i am just not milling about in the kitchen between 5 and 7 anymore.
I really liked it when she did the breakfast show, and loved her eighties thing at ten pm.

Oh god we have persevered but i agree!
I loved CE but i wanted to give ZB a chance... she makes massive mistakes all the time! Crashing songs, she even interviewed a teacher about 500 words, asked her if she was joining in with the launch tomorrow and the teacher said ‘erm... i think it’s today’ her major bloody feature!!
She also calls everyone gorgeous which fucks me off ‘thanks gorgeous’ ‘thanks gorgeous girly’ i think i’d call her out live on air if it was me!
However, i can’t get Virgin on either of my digital radios, i have retuned a gazillion times and there isn’t a spot in my house i can get clear signal. I bought two digital radios last year so we could have radio inna morning whilst getting ready and background noise for the dogs so i refuse to use my phone/tv for listening because that renders my shiny new radios redundant.
I love every single other radio two show except steve wright who is dreadful but i don’t listen at that time anyway luckily.
Sarah Cox is brilliant but i love the time she is on as it’s usually when i’m making tea and generally pottering.
