Whats for dinner tonight?

I was going to get the M&S meal deal:

Coquilles St Jacques
Scallop shells filled with succulent scallops in a creamy white sauce, garnished with creamy mash and a cheddar cheese crumb

Gastropub beef bourguignon
Slow-cooked beef in red wine with roasted onions, button mushrooms and smoked ham lardons

Triple-cooked chips
Thick-cut chips basted in beef dripping

Twin hearts
White chocolate mousse and passion fruit on rich almond sponge, and dark chocolate mousse and red berry on chocolate sponge

But we didn't eat last night's dinner so I might make up another menu incorporating that.

We're having veggie chilli & rice. Nothing too special as we'll be eating with DS who has just had braces fitted and is on soft food only.

Chicken boursin- onions, mushrooms, bacon and chicken fried until cooked, melt in a pack of garlic and herb boursin and add double cream - with tagliatelle.

Home made chow mein or a stir fry. Not decided. Have lots to use up , egg noodles. Beansprouts, mange tout, peppers. Mushrooms, onions, baby corn and chicken.. So thinking throw it all in and be done with it...

Freezer surprise - I think it's beef stew but everything looks the same once it's frozen so it could be corned beef hash or possibly even bolognese!

Mid-week roast dinner, as we're both out tomorrow and can't smell of garlic (which is most of the foods I prefer).

I asked my DP what he'd like tonight and he said 'steak' - which is fine but I don't eat meat so we're having a steak for him and a Vivera steak for me, dauphinoise potatoes and grilled asparagus. Then we're making apple and raspberry crumble with custard for dessert Grin

I'd normally treat DP to steak and chips, but my Mum is coming over this evening and he is at work so I've postponed that to Saturday.

Having fishcakes, new potatoes and broccoli. I did make blondies for pudding though, and buy him one of the silly fruity beers he likes.
