I was going to get the M&S meal deal:

Coquilles St Jacques
Scallop shells filled with succulent scallops in a creamy white sauce, garnished with creamy mash and a cheddar cheese crumb

Gastropub beef bourguignon
Slow-cooked beef in red wine with roasted onions, button mushrooms and smoked ham lardons

Triple-cooked chips
Thick-cut chips basted in beef dripping

Twin hearts
White chocolate mousse and passion fruit on rich almond sponge, and dark chocolate mousse and red berry on chocolate sponge

But we didn't eat last night's dinner so I might make up another menu incorporating that.

It’s only me and DD2 (22). She’s making the scones now.

Pork loin in dijon sauce with baby potatoes roasted with garlic and rosemary and stir fried mange tout, babycorn, greenbeans and carrots, prosecco and banoffee pie to follow.. bugger the diet 😬

Bacon & cauliflower cheese pasta bake. It's really good and easy

Homemade pizza. Dough is proving nicely and I've got pepper, olives, sweetcorn, veggie sausages and more cheese than any sensible person should eat to go on top.

I made a bolognese last night so just reheating that with some pasta. And buckets of parmesan. And maybe some wine.

Smoked cod with smoked paprika and chorizo in a tomato sauce with mushrooms, peppers and garlic, and a cheesy crust on top :)

I'm making the cheats chicken Katzu curry that was on eat well for less.

Dh is taking me out to Cote Brasserie, so whatever is on their Valentines menu. last year we went Pizza express and it was good food but we were sat in the prep area!

We were supposed to be out for dinner tonight but I am poorly and we have no food in, so whatever DP grabs from Tesco on his way home- probably pizza!

Oven door has broken so we are getting a chipper instead

Ds wants ham and cheese toasties, with salad on the side. So simple for us tonight!

@SnowyAlpsandPeaks it's up to you how thick a sauce you want, really. I usually buy a medium-sized double cream and keep adding it until it's the consistency I want!

DH is cooking steak, garlic mash and corn on the cob

Waitrose meal deal here. Steak, parmentier potatoes, cauliflower cheese. I'll probably add something green. DCs will share the potatoes and have sausages and corn on the cob. We'll save the dessert (after dinner mint cheesecake thingies) for when they are in bed because we don't want to share!

Massive sexy fillet steaks and chips plus red wine
Chocolate orange mousse
Homemade truffles

Smoked salmon terrine.
Venison with roast potatoes, gravy and greens.
Raspberry sorbet and a Hotel Chocolat box.
A mini bottle of champagne.
