you'd like to or plan to see one day?

My ones are Freddie Mercury at Live Aid, or George Michael at the Freddy Mercury memorial concert.

People I'd love to see live are Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz, Stone Roses, Prodigy.and Sia.

Tante I saw her in Manchester years ago. Some people follow her all over the world !

GreatWesternValkyrie · 18/02/2019 21:14

GWV Oooh I'd forgotten Tool (how could I!) .
They're playing Castle Donington this year

Species5618 I did debate going but i couldn’t justify the cost of it in the end as Cane Hill are the only other band there I’ve not seen live before, that I’d like to. Plus I’m too fond of being warm and dry these days! Are you going?

The new album is rumoured to be out this year (again!), I can only hope for a tour to support it.... 🤞🏻

species5618 · 19/02/2019 02:31

GWV Won't be going - combination of comfort and finance levels.
At least I have YouTube to keep me going though. Spent this afternoon trawling for Gallagher videos - Rory that is not the Mancunian pair!

birdsandroses · 19/02/2019 02:37

Prince

WaterBird · 19/02/2019 05:24

I would have loved to see The High Level Ranters, who played traditional songs on fiddle, whistle and Northumbrian smallpipes from the late 60s to early 80s, but wasn't born then!
There's an English group that I'd love to see in concert which I would prefer not to name on here. They don't perform outside the UK (I'm not living there at the moment), and their quarterly email newsletters will come out announcing gigs they already did. Ah well.

Elderflower14 · 19/02/2019 05:35

I've seen Sir Elton John, REM and INXS amongst others.
Funny enough I was dancing round the kitchen at work last night to When Doves Cry and remarked to bossman that I wish I'd seen Prince live.... 💙

Definitely Queen with Freddie Mercury, wish I had seen them live

SimonJT · 21/09/2019 07:42

@CherryPavlova Looking at your list, you’ve seen my ex play, we’re still friends so highy likely I was stood side of stage like a goon.

I have seen lots of acts, including at small private events and I’m normally in the performers area so I get to watch side of stage.

I would still like to see Smashing Pumpkins, but I had tickets a few years ago for nottingham, something came up and I couldn’t attend. Which worked out well as they stormed off stage after a few songs.

The to see list
Dre
Dizzee Rascal
Kanye (before he was a nutter)
Patrick wolf (I doubt he will perform to his old show standards again).

I have seen quite a few, not sure I can remember everyone
The Used
Fallout boy
Coheed and cambria
Metallica
Iggy pop
James brown
RHCP
Foo fighters
Eagles of death metal (before I knew they were right wing extremists)
Marilyn manson
Nine inch nails
Muse
Biffy clyro
Rage against the machine
Kings of leon
Pearl jam
Iron Maiden
Years and years
Clean Bandit

Electrocute1980 · 21/09/2019 07:56

Nirvana - I did have a ticket to see them but sadly kurt died a week before :(

Was (and still am!) a massive Guns N Roses fan as a young teen but had nobody to go to a gig with. I cried with happiness when they reformed and DH came home and said he'd got tickets for us to see them - hands down the best gig I've ever been to, they were amazing.

Type O Negative- another favourite band but the singer sadly died before I got the chance to see them.

DH and I used to go every year to see Motörhead - really miss seeing them live since Lemmy died.

Ronsters · 21/09/2019 08:00

I'd love to see AC/DC

CustardOmlet · 21/09/2019 08:22

I’m gutted I missed out on David Bowie and The Prodigy. We thought about Prodigy last year but decided they would tour again 😟

Saw Kate Bush when she did her shows a couple of years ago, and just see Skunk Anansie. Saw oasis on their last tour (think they only did one gig after the one I saw) and Tori Amos at the Albert Hall. Seen lots of other bands but I’m pretty sure they will keep going! Next year we have Editors booked and waiting for The Subways tickets to be released.

Chris Cornell

I'd love to see nightwish! A Finnish metal folk band and I love them!!

longwayoff · 19/10/2019 18:50

Wish I'd seen Bob Marley.

labazsisgoingmad · 19/10/2019 19:14

The Faces
The Who early days
The Stones early days
Janis Joplin

HeavyDirtySoul · 19/10/2019 19:19

I would have loved to have seen UB40 before they split. Have seen Ali twice now, he’s bloody brilliant but then I would run away with him in a heartbeat 😆

Cocolapew · 19/10/2019 19:37

Would have liked to see Elvis, 70's Stones, The Doors, Abba, Otis Redding, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Staple Singers, The Temptations, The Four Tops, AC/DC with Bon Scott.

Would still like to see, Bruno Mars, Pink, Mavis Staples, Kate Bush, Janet Jackson, Sheila E, The Time

billydilly · 19/10/2019 19:43

Saw Bowie on the Ziggy/Aladdin tour, I was a young schoolgirl. No words to describe him.

Sigur Ros live is like a religious experience.

Nick Cave, the most engaging, generous performer despite his scary image

AlexaAmbidextra · 20/10/2019 00:29

Would have liked to have seen Mike and the Mechanics in their early days when they had both the late Paul Young and Paul Carrack as vocalists and Adrian Lee and Peter van Hooke.

Pollywollydolly · 20/10/2019 02:01

I wish I'd been at Live Aid and I'd like to see Westlife.

I've seen:
Slade
Queen (with Freddie) at Knebworth
Status Quo
Bruce Springsteen - 4 times
Bryan Adams - 4 times
Huey Lewis and the News - 3 times
Tina Turner

The Rolling Stones
The Corrs - twice
The Who
Jess Glynne
McBusted
Extreme - twice
Billy Joel
Adam Lambert - 4 times
Queen and Adam Lambert 13 times (+ 5 more times next year)

If you like Queen they are well worth seeing with Adam Lambert! I couldn't even listen to their music after Freddie died, but I have re-discovered them with Adam and they are amazing!
