Sorry to be a bit dramatic and to use MN as a medical resource

I am feeling dreadful and have been all day. I’ve got a pounding headache, I feel sick and shivery and the skin in my legs has gone mottled (see picture)

I’ve got a massive day at work tomorrow so really don’t have time to go to my GP but I’m feeling dreadful and wondering if (assuming I still feel like this tomorrow) I should try and get to a walk in or something. (Also please excuse my fat legs)

spinabifidamom · 12/02/2019 22:04

Please don’t delay. It looks like bruises to me. Have you been exercising recently?
When was the last time you got your temperature recorded? Do you know what your blood pressure numbers are or not? Hope you get some answers soon.
Hopefully they’ll do some tests. Call immediately.

Hazlenutpie · 12/02/2019 22:17

I agree with the others A & E.

justasking111 · 12/02/2019 22:19

Mummyoflittledragon · 12/02/2019 22:31

Hope the silence is because you’re at the hospital.

Vixxxy · 12/02/2019 22:34

If you ring 111 they will likely tell you to go to A+E anyway. I wouldn't ignore this, but up to you of course.

Canest · 12/02/2019 22:35

Hope all well. This rash looks similar to the one my DD had when she had Henoch Schonlein Purpura. Quite rare & not all docs familiar with. Started on lower legs & worked its way upwards. A&E essential as there can be complications. DD was fine btw.

GoGoGadgetGin · 12/02/2019 22:36

My DD had sepsis 2 years ago.
Symptoms very similar to yours sound - fever, fluey aches and nausea and mottled skin.
I took her to our local walk in centre and we were sent away almost immediately (by a hca not a doctor) because "the rash disappeared when pressed" it was a bank holiday and insanely busy.
2 hours later at home her temp was even higher and she became confused and disoriented so I bit the bullet and took her back, expecting to be sent away again with a lecture about viruses but just wanting reassurance.
20 minutes later we were in an ambulance to the hospital and they were testing for organ failure.
We were very very lucky, after a week in hospital she came home with no lasting damage, but if I hadn't listened to my gut it would have been a different story.

WillowG · 12/02/2019 23:44

Hope everything’s ok x
