DH and I just had a ridiculous competition
You have to stand on your handwriting side leg - ie if you’re right handed stand on your right leg and lift the other leg up off the ground, bending it at the knee
See how long you can hold it

How long can you manage and do you wobble?

DH thinks you shouldn’t wobble at all but only managed 12 seconds
Grin now imagining Mumsnetters all over the country randomly balancing on one leg and freaking the rest of the house out...

I managed 45 seconds and that was with Dcat rubbing round my leg!

LilaJude · 11/02/2019 17:45

And yes I definitely wobbled!

timeforteaplease1 · 11/02/2019 17:45

31 seconds

Igotthemheavyboobs · 11/02/2019 17:45

9 seconds with wabbling!! I wasn't expecting that as I can stand on one leg with eyes open for ages!

Aberforthsgoat · 11/02/2019 17:46

Haha @igotthemheavyboobs I was over confident going into it for that very reason!
I’m stubborn so kept going back and practising
First time I nearly veered over straight away as I just lifted My leg straight up without doing it steadily Grin

90 seconds, then got bored. But I do a lot of yoga which encourages one legged standing!

Aberforthsgoat · 11/02/2019 17:48

Bloody hell @mrsreacher85 was that with your eyes closed as well? Please tell me you wobbled, you’re putting us all to shame
Maybe I need to rethink yoga

3 seconds GrinGrinBlushBlush

3out · 11/02/2019 17:49

Eyes open or shut?
Leg akimbo or flamingo style?
Bare feet or shoes?

I got to a minute and then got bored. Very minimal wobble. Am I doing it wrong?

silkpyjamasallday · 11/02/2019 17:50

24 seconds until DD pulled my foot Grin that was harder than expected

DrDiva · 11/02/2019 17:50

I am three glasses of anniversary champagne down. Can I get back to you?

Bubblysqueak · 11/02/2019 17:50

Not very long but in right handed left footed so I last longer on my left food.

Aberforthsgoat · 11/02/2019 17:51

Eyes closed!
Standing normally sorry should have explained that
And then lifting the other leg up, bending at knee and holding it

Starting with eyes closed as well so you lift with eyes closed

YABU. No one wants to stand on one leg at teatime. HTH.

3out · 11/02/2019 17:52

Holding the foot or holding the position?

Aberforthsgoat · 11/02/2019 17:53

Holding the position

‘YABU. No one wants to stand on one leg at teatime. HTH.’
I tend to cook whilst standing on one leg as it’s comfier. I prefer to sit to eat though.

3out · 11/02/2019 17:56

Ok. Eyes closed results in wobble that the Wobbly-Bridge would be proud of. Managed about 9 seconds only.

Aberforthsgoat · 11/02/2019 18:00

@3out oh ha I was ready to be super impressed by your previous post!

OrcinusOrca · 11/02/2019 18:02

11 seconds with wobbling. I thought I'd do loads better!

OrcinusOrca · 11/02/2019 18:02

DH only managed 2.5 seconds though Grin

ShivD · 11/02/2019 18:05

40 seconds.

ShivD · 11/02/2019 18:06

I do a lot of yoga though and it was wobbly at times

Houseonahill · 11/02/2019 18:09

A very wobbly 12 seconds
