Where would you hide a wallet? It's definitely in the house so no need to cancel cards but I've searched everywhere!!!!

It's not fun and pushing a week without it now.

My 2 year old just says "banana" when I ask Grin

Mine likes putting things in shoes.

Rainatnight · 08/02/2019 09:55

In a box.

In a bag.

Under something (like a table).

In any sort of hidey hole like toy kitchen overn?

Rainatnight · 08/02/2019 09:56

Oven

Notsurehowifeel0 · 08/02/2019 09:56

In the fruit bowl?

Because your 2 year old is saying banana as a clue? Grin probably not though Grin

mynameisMrG · 08/02/2019 09:56

Under the sofa or sideboard. When I was a toddler it would have been in the toilet

GMtoBe · 08/02/2019 09:57

Mine puts lots of things in the bin...

Itwasntme101 · 08/02/2019 09:57

Have you checked the bin

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 08/02/2019 09:57

Suggest you will give some cash to put in the wallet if they go get it.... Then you can go buy sweets!!...
Suggestions to look...
Pile of clean towels.
Underwear drawer.
All shoes.
Toy baskets.
Dog bed.
Wardrobe (dh found his keys here after an episode of Peppa Pig showed similar).
Coat pockets.

AwdBovril · 08/02/2019 09:58

Down the back of a radiator
Under a sofa or bed
In bed
Does your toddler have any toys with a pouch or pocket?

Kismetjayn · 08/02/2019 09:59

Mine was by the door, with the cards posted through the letterbox to the world at large...

Kitchen cupboards also a favourite?

CornishYarg · 08/02/2019 09:59

When DS hid DH's wallet, we eventually found it in a shoe box I'd left in the stairs. So check any boxes lying around! They like "posting" things at this age so also look for any suitably sized gaps around his eye level that he could push the wallet through. And obviously check the fruit bowl in case "banana" is actually a useful clue Grin

HumpHumpWhale · 08/02/2019 09:59

I found my debit card in the box we keep nappies in yesterday. So somewhere like that, with toddler-related stuff? Or in her bed?

AwdBovril · 08/02/2019 09:59

Ooh yes, tell your child you want it back to buy sweets or a toy. (Then buy the cheapest you can get away with)

Singlenotsingle · 08/02/2019 10:01

My dgs used to like posting stuff OUT of the letterbox.

Imnotaslimjim · 08/02/2019 10:05

Try kneeling down so you are the same head height as them. I found the TV remote this way after 2 yo DS hid it.

duckfortea · 08/02/2019 10:09

Ohh lots of good ideas, thanks. Grin

I'll check all of the above and be back to update. Sadly I'm not optimistic but we shall see!

Dog bed
Under sofa
Under fridge
Inside fridge
Fruit bowl
Down the sides of sofas
Inside washing machine/dishwasher
Wash basket
If you've got a gas fire check inside that; one of ours used to post stuff through the gap and we'd sit there thinking we could smell schmelting plastic each time we'd turn it on.

SaucyJack · 08/02/2019 10:13

In the doll’s house.

barleyreed · 08/02/2019 10:14

In a play kitchen.
Laundry basket.

Good luck OP!

Monday55 · 08/02/2019 10:16

-Check all Bins in the house.
-Her toys
-inbetween & under sofa cushions

  • tell them the wallet has sweeties
Wherearemycrayons · 08/02/2019 10:16

We found something my DS hid in a welly!! Took us ages to find as I hardly ever wear them 😂

Lucked · 08/02/2019 10:18

There is a space between the inside and outside letterboxes in our house that my kids use to love. In fact check he hasn’t posted it outside

TwoBlueFish · 08/02/2019 10:20

Out the car flap
Cat bed
Bin
Toy postbox/bag/shopping basket
In wellies

Go to toddler height and see anywhere that looks fun to post something.

TwittleBee · 08/02/2019 10:21

oh literally everything we lose due to DS is found in a bloomin shoe/boot - and even those shoes/boots we find in obscure places so it is like he hides my keys in the shoe then needs to hide that somewhere to just make sure it is extra hidden....

Amanduh · 08/02/2019 10:22

In any toy that has a hole or compartment. Toy kitchen. Toy box. In any boxes or shoes that are in reach. In the fruit bowl. Under the sofa or under the cushions!
