Where would you hide a wallet? It's definitely in the house so no need to cancel cards but I've searched everywhere!!!!

It's not fun and pushing a week without it now.

My 2 year old just says "banana" when I ask Grin

In a welly here too!

LeslieYep · 08/02/2019 10:23

My DD would post things through the bottom of the wardrobe doors, between the mattress and the bed frame or through slats. And best of all; through the strings of daddy's guitar! Took a while to find that credit card!

Nicnak2223 · 08/02/2019 10:29

I once found my door keys in an oven glove

MissDai5y · 08/02/2019 10:30

Toilet, if they can access it. Or somewhere equally destructive. Dog bowl or out in the garden. Keys and wallets always seemed to attract a special level of "hiding" from my nieces.

chipsandgin · 08/02/2019 10:33

I think banana is a clue! Play fruit? High Chair?

Vanillaradio · 08/02/2019 10:34

With mine it was mostly bin or inside a toy. He had a trike with a back compartment, pirate boat, cookie jar, places like that.
Also try in the bed. Or if he's saying bananas is there anything banana like- fruit bowl, long yellow cuddly toy, yellow swimming noodle etc... .........

Somuchroom · 08/02/2019 10:34

Mine has got a truck with a lift up lid and so far we have found an expensive watch, a lost earring and a bank card in there, all at different times. Also there is an inch gap between the wall and bookshelf and that is another posting favourite. I cancelled yet another card last night so he has a new hiding place we are not aware of.

Oh another one is the washing machine (I’m forever laundering magnets) and saucepans in the cupboard.

Good luck!

Sleeplessinsouthampton2019 · 08/02/2019 10:37

Washing machine
In the toy kitchen oven or cupboard
My credit card ended up in the bottom of toy box and wasn’t found for weeks (has to cancel it!)
Good luck!!

Juells · 08/02/2019 10:38

I'd crawl around the house with my eyes at the right level and examine everything logical or illogical.

Juells · 08/02/2019 10:39

I’m forever laundering magnets

EEEK there are always warnings about toddlers and magnets.

Tinty · 08/02/2019 10:42

My DS posted a mini perfume bottle in a Speaker! Little Monkey Grin
Have you got and thing with a post box shaped slot?

TinyTear · 08/02/2019 10:42

between the sofa cushions?

TomElvisJedusor · 08/02/2019 10:43

I second the bin (found mine in the recycling bin once) or the oven of the toy kitchen...

iknowimcoming · 08/02/2019 10:44

DVD / cd player slot

Shufflebumnessie · 08/02/2019 10:44

A few months my car keys went missing. After frantically tearing the house apart for several days, I found them (by accident!!) under the seat liner of the pram! Must have been rather uncomfortable for Dd but serves her right for hiding them there in the first place Grin

My friend's Dd hid their keys behind books on the bookshelf.

Good luck.

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 08/02/2019 10:45

Do you have a surround sound system? My DC used to love posting items into the sub woofer. The hole was big enough for a smaller wallet to be slightly hidden but not big enough for it to go into the insides of the speaker thankfully.

SillyLittleBiscuit · 08/02/2019 10:45

Give toddler something else and suggest a game of hide and seek. Then watch where they go with it?

Purplepricklesalloverhisback · 08/02/2019 10:46

I would get the cards cancelled now- if it got out in the bin it could have been taken away by bin men and could end up anywhere. Is your front door accessible- any chance it has been posted through your letter box and picked up by someone on the street?

My 2 year old would have put it in the bag on his scooter or inside the dolls house.

BlodwynBludd · 08/02/2019 10:47

Through the car flap or letter box. In shoes and under the settee or sideboard and mine's favourite places but he's Alis put things under the dog bed and in random cupboards. Good luck!

olderthanyouthink · 08/02/2019 10:49

DP says in the underside to the sofa or in a kitchen cupboard or down the back of a radiator

Enb76 · 08/02/2019 10:49

I found my keys in the woodpile - about 6 months after I'd had to change the locks on the kitchen door and get my bike lock cut off. Was just glad it wasn't my household keys.

Sill don't know if it was me or my toddler (at the time) who lost them.

Chocolateandcarbs · 08/02/2019 10:49

I’ve found thins inside books and once son posted my purse out of the cat flap. Good luck!

ScrambledSmegs · 08/02/2019 10:52

DD2 took my engagement ring out its box in my bedside drawer and secreted it at the bottom of her hair clip box. I found it a week later by complete accident.

The beautiful earrings my parents gave me for my 21st birthday were in the toy toaster.

Ginkythefangedhellpigofdoom · 08/02/2019 10:52

If this was 20 years ago I'd have said in the video player!

ScrambledSmegs · 08/02/2019 10:53

Oh, and DD1 used to treat the gap between the kitchen cabinets and the plinth that went down to the floor as a kind of letterbox. Found all sorts under there - her red book, and the replacement red book for starters!
